About this house rental
Welcome to Bay Dreaming! A canal front home on Galveston's west end in the Sea Isle subdivision; one of Galveston's premier communities offering many amenities - swimming pool (for a fee), tennis courts, marina with bait shop and more.
This home can sleep a family or group up to 10, with 1 king, 1 queen and 2 sets of bunk beds, pullout single bed chair and couch (1). The house offers an open floor plan that connects all the main living spaces, making it perfect for entertaining. The dining table sits 6 with additional seating for 4 at the large kitchen island. There are two full baths upstairs with a 1/2 bath and outdoor shower on the ground floor.
There is a flat screen TV with Youtubetv account provided, netflix, DVD player, a Wii and a moderate selection of DVDs and games in the living room. Youtubetv includes dozens of tv channels including movies and sports (foxsports too). In addition, the house is fully loaded with free WiFi, full linens, towels, and a well equipped kitchen. However, we do ask that you bring beach towels; a washer and dryer are located in the garage for your use.
The outdoor area is as inviting and comfortable as the indoors. The upper deck is a wraparound with seating overlooking the canal for dining, playing cards, or socializing, with collapsible sun shade. The deck has a gate to help keep pets from wandering off.
The downstairs area is spacious and completely shaded with additional outdoor furniture and hammocks. There is a fence which will contain large dogs. There is a floating/adjustable dock for those who want to swim with their dogs (or kids). Enjoy swimming, grilling or fishing off the dock with plenty of room for family and friends to gather around and relax. Open up the Tiki bar for more entertaining options! When the sun sets, roast s’mores over the fire pit!
For your convenience, we offer our guests the use of our golf cart, beach toys, inflatables, limited fishing gear and all non-motorized water craft (kayaks and paddle boards); Sea Isle beach access is just across the main road.
Bay Dreaming is our home away from home and we are excited to be able to share it with you! We ask that you respect our home as you would your own. We love our own four legged family members so we welcome pets, just clean up after your pet accordingly.
Parties, weddings, receptions, or company festivities are not allowed. We rent only to family/small groups and responsible adults older than 25 years of age. Adults cannot rent properties on behalf of underage guests. Any use of the property for purposes other than family vacations must be addressed when booking the reservation.
Any intent to use the boat lift must be expressed at the time of reservation, and requires an additional fee to move the owner’s boat from the house.

David is amazing to deal with. He is quick to respond. The house is great! The golf cart, kayaks, fishing was all perfect for our entertainment and in great shape. We will definitely stay here again.

We all loved the property! All of us fished and was the mmain thing for my grandson. It was so peaceful and laidback. We all needed it.

Not only was everything as described, it was so much better than we could have imagined. Located away from all the hustle, yet somehow with all the amenities you could ask for at your fingertips, this was exactly the beach get away our family needed. Amazing host, phenomenal location, quiet yet full of activities. We can’t wait to go back and are already planning our next trip!

Overall the property was as advertised by the host. The outdoor space was nice and the toys provided were appreciated. We were disappointed to find out on arrival that there was zero closet space in the bedrooms and very limited space for food storage in the kitchen and fridge as all the owners property and food was still present. The house has a restriction of 72 degrees for the AC unit and has no ducting for cold air into the living area. This made the house hot during the day and difficult to sleep in at night. The mattresses were old in the bigger rooms and covered in plastic in the bunk room so we were not able to get a good nights sleep. Outside noise was also a real problem, if you have small children this house may be an issue.
