Secluded Cabin with three porches, fireplace and privacy - minutes to Fort Leonard Wood located off the original ROUTE 66 - THE MOTHER ROAD.
3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, sleeps 8 people. Come relax and grill on the huge screened in porch or sun on the back deck or relax on the front porch - all have incredible views. Cook a meal in the fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy family time in the cozy living room. The cabin sits on a hill above the Big Piney River with a view of the beautiful pink bluffs and hills. Hike, hunt, fish, walk or bike the trails or float the river. Devil’s Elbow River Safari loves the Hill Cabin guests. They are only a 2 min. drive from your front door. Don’t forget to explore the hamlet of Devil’s Elbow. Find the rock wall for another beautiful view of the entire river valley or visit the famous steel bridge on RT. 66. (This is where you will want to take your family picture with the bluffs in the background and the river below.) If you drive up the river road, next to the bridge, you will find an antique wooden trestle bridge built WWII era to provide Ft. Wood supplies. There are 1000s of acres of Mark Twain National Forest surrounding you. Stay for the weekend or the week.

This is a perfect remote getaway where you want to be away from people but close enough to run to the store in 15 mins for dinner supplies. We rented this cabin while visiting our soldier graduating basic training at Fort Leonard Wood. The cabin was perfect for our 4 adult children and us. All he wanted to do is hang out and relax and this was the perfect place to do that. Great communication, very clean home, fully stocked, WiFi and nothing but space for the kids to play outside or inside. If I’m ever back in this area, we will return to the same place. Thank you for opening up your home for our family to create more memories in.

Nice place to relax, but....safety and security issue: a spare key to the front door of the property was found on the ground in the front yard on the last day of occupancy. The key was provided at time of check out to staff, but no response to serious issue. Garden tub dirty with hair found throughout tub area and on clean towels-didn't utilize the first night as a result until it was cleaned by us.
Kitchen and master bathroom floor dirty with sticky substances.
Televisions not working in master bedroom and second bedroom (cords missing). Thank you.
