Bocas Villas - Private Acqua Villas

We had an amazing time at the villas. Phillip is a great guy. If you’re prepared for your stay you may never need to see him, aside from boating his kids to school. If you stay here be prepared. Bring your own food, water, booze or whatever you need. You can always call Nino for a boat ride into town but we stayed 3 days alone and it was amazing. Best value overwater stay in Bocas del toro. Ultra clear water right off the dock. Lobster man boats by $5 Lobsters. We had some crazy Caribbean rain storms, beautiful rainbows and sunsets. Panamá is an incredibly beautiful country.

We appreciated the remote rustic beauty of Bocas Villas. The water taxi was expensive - on the return the driver wanted an extra 5$ pp than on the way there. Phillip did not answer messages Coffee and water and some salt would have been appreciated

Beautiful location, quiet sea and abundance of fish. Warm water great for snorkeling and very relaxing overall. The villas could benefit from better maintenance (from burned out bulbs, rotting deck to chairs falling apart) and a little better equipped kitchen. Insufficient pots, bowls, utensils etc made it a challenge to prepare meals. Due to remote location going out to restaurants wasn't practical. Could use more than 1 kayak between 4 villas, and more towels. The most disturbing, however, was the incredible mess surrounding the owner's house (photo included) and sewage pipe leaking from every joint a smelly stuff into the water right where we snorkelled. All these problems could be remedied with a little effort from a charming owner. Once these little things are taken care of, it would be the idyllic vacation everyone dreams of.

If you are looking for pure relaxation. This is the place. Would be nice to put in the ad that you have to take a boat to get anywhere. And they cost minimum of 20 dollars each way Internet is very spotty. And almost impossible when used by more than one person.
