The space
The cabin sits on over 5 acres of beautiful Montana countryside. Conveniently located off US Highway 93 West, your retreat is only 7 miles to downtown Whitefish, 45 miles from the Canada border (Roosville), and a quick 30 miles to Glacier National Park.
Biking and hiking trails are mere minutes from the cabin. A short bike ride down Beaver Lake Road leads you to the Whitefish Bike Retreat, 19 acres of wilderness bordering the Whitefish Trail System.
Internationally-acclaimed golf course, Whitefish Lake Golf Club, is located less than 6 miles from the cabin, with Whitefish Mountain Resort (for all you skiing and mountain biking fans) only 14 miles way.
Montana is known for its world-class fishing. For those who love to fish, numerous streams and tributaries are nearby, as are several lakes, including Murray Lake (3 miles), Beaver Lake (6 miles), Stillwater Lake (8 miles), Whitefish Lake (10 miles) Dog Lake (13 miles), Tally Lake (14 miles).
As of June 2016, the home has undergone an entire professional remodel, and is ready for you! The cabin sleeps 8-10, and comes fully equipped.
With 6 large, comfortable beds, and three high-quality and immediately inflatable queen size air mattresses, there s no lack of comfy sleeping arrangements! (One King, Two queens, one bunk bed (twin and Queen), Queen sofa sleeper.
Two bathrooms (two showers and one bathtub).

We had a great stay at KC Ranch for 9 nights! Terry was a fantastic host - warm, caring and attentive to detail! The cabin was clean, had plenty of space for our 6 family members and had a ton of amenities. We were about 45 minutes from GNP and visted the park on 6 of our days while in Whitefish. Hope to return to the area in the future!

Very impressed with the property and the owner. He was very responsive and the on-site maintenance team responded quickly to set up portable AC units to cool the upstairs due to unseasonable heat. Everything you need is there from potable chairs to coolers which makes traveling much easier. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a nice time. There were a few things that were disappointing that I'd brought to the owners attention because I didn't want to write a review, but here we are. The owner was very accommodating during booking. We appreciate that we were able to book an extra night to the start of our stay and recognize that that may have effected the cleaning. There were a handful of dirty towels (5) on the backs of the bedroom doors when we arrived. There was also a lot of hair around both shower drains and even the tub drain- I tried to clean that up but the shower upstairs should probably be snaked. The floors under the beds and under/around furniture have a layer of dust and some trash around it. This was really only an issue because we had the 1 and 2 year old with us/they were on the floors the whole time. It was a major disappointment to learn that the bathtub was broken, especially because I mentioned that we would have the two toddlers with us to the owner. Showering isn't a big deal but MUCH harder when there isn't a door on the shower and just a curtain (2 year old was constantly trying to get out). Definitely a disappointment. The futon was also dirty in the crease (crumbs and such) when we un folded it for our son. The other items that were just frustrating was that there weren't enough mugs for the 6 adults to all have coffee together (a struggle for sure when the boys had us up at 5am every morning). There also weren't enough towels for 6 adults even after we washed the dirty ones. We used the same towels for showering and hot tubbing- which meant that they were rarely dry (shower in the morning, towel was still wet for hot tub at night and would freeze solid outside when it's 12 degrees out for example.) just not enjoyable. The guys managed to get a good fire going while we were there but there wasn't any wood on the porch so they fetched it and cut kindling but the handle on the hatchet was broken. The wood was also iced over and wet. Other guests of ours brought dry, cut, wood up that we ended up using instead. The overhead light in the living room does not work. It comes on for a nano second when you use the remote but does not stay on). We needed to bring lamps into the room from other areas. We're all easy going people but collectively, stuff just started to stack up that has made me feel the need to say something about it. The home is beautiful, hot tub is nice, rooms worked out fine, and the overall space was great for our group.
