VRBO double booked us for the entire weekend. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. I had booked a cottage 2 blocks from the beach in Seal Beach for the long Memorial Day weekend. We arrived Friday night with our expensive dinner in hand and ready to check in, only to be told there was an issue with our reservation. The host scrambled to find us an alternate accommodation for that night and we were told we had to call VRBO. I was on the phone with VRBO for 4 hours only to be told, I needed to call again in the morning. In the morning after being transferred around and on hold for 2 hours, a supervisor assured me I would receive a call back with my new accommodations by 1:30pm. This was now Saturday. Since I didn’t get a call back, I called again and gave the new supervisor my case number. He started looking for accommodations then since no one had. All they could offer us was a refund and they would pay for our room at the Hilton Hotel by the John Wayne Airport. This was about a 20 minute drive from the beach and a hotel room, not a cottage, apartment, condo or equivalent. We had our small dog and beach cruisers with us. Needless to say, it wasn’t anything close to an anniversary celebration beach getaway.

Cozy and Clean and very close to the beach. Parking inside the garage was very convenient. Had to climb a flight of stairs to get into the unit, so a bit tricky for me to get my luggage up the stairs. But other than that I really enjoyed the stay.

This property is located in the perfect place. 2 min walk to the beach. Stores and all needed amenities in walking distance or a short drive. Having parking available was a plus as well. The home was beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable to stay in. The host was so nice and checked on us daily. Check in and out was a breeze. I couldn't have asked for a better stay.

This was a perfect place for our visit with friends and family in the Long Beach/Orange County area. This one bedroom apartment of the garage beyond the main house was the perfect size for my me and my wife. It might have been a little awkward of the main house was occupied, but it wasn't, so that was great for us. The place is very well located, within a couple of the beach and four or five blocks to Main Street, which has great restaurants and bars. It was also four or five blocks from a Pavilions grocery store and CVS drug store. It was also not far from the nearby harbor area and Long Beach airport.

This is a great little property - an easy walk to the beach, to the green space on Electric Avenue, and to the shops and restaurants on Main Street. This property is a true gem. Very cozy and quiet. It feels really spacious and the separation of the bedroom from the living area is perfect. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. 1 block off the beach so you can walk to everything you could possibly need or want. Wonderful host. We will be back again!!!

We used this small unit above the garage as a second unit while renting the house. This allowed those who had to work a place to work quietly during the day. It enough furniture to get by. The air conditioning is helpful and is provided by a window unit in the bedroom and portable unit in the main room. The main room unit broke while we were there but it didn't matter. It is very loud so it would be wise to use only if it happens to be very hot. Ventilation is good enough. Biggest complaint is that the door automatically locks and we had only one key. We weren't informed so we were lucky to not be locked out.
