About this cottage rental
Lovely home on wooded lot in the highly sought after Mirror Lake neighborhood. The screened porch is a true highlight - great for napping, reading and entertaining. You will enjoy the cool temperatures and lovely breezes even in the summer (the elevation at the house is 3832). There is also a pretty field stone porch with adirondack chairs and a swing perfect for relaxing. Off the screened porch is a large, bright great room with a wood burning fireplace. We enjoy cooking so you will find the kitchen to be stocked with all the pots, pans and tools you need to create a great meal. This peaceful home is also conveniently located just 1.7 miles from downtown. You can even walk to downtown via beautiful and safe back roads. If you need to stay in touch with the outside world, there is great wi-fi and TV.

Anne’s cottage was lovely and perfect for our Thanksgiving stay. She was very responsive when we had a question. We would love to return during the summer months to take advantage of the outdoor spaces.

What a perfect stay in this cozy mountain home! We loved every second of our stay. The home is tucked on a quiet road just a few minutes from downtown Highlands. It’s the perfect mix of feeling private and like a mountain escape and being close to everything fun in the area. We especially loved the fully stocked kitchen and working fireplace. We are not used to windy roads, so the short drive on the one-lane road to the home felt like a mountain adventure, but not too treacherous. We look forward to returning.

This is a great property. It is listed as occupancy of 4 (which it clearly is) but the pricing is based on double occupancy. We travel with another couple and they picked the place and I paid for it. We did not realize the hook until we arrived and started to enjoy the beautiful screen porch and discuss the weekend. Really wouldn't have cared about $100 but feel that the property should not be advertised for 4 people and then charge extra to have 4 people. Besides that, it is convenient and private. Yes, I did ask the host about this and was told that it was the correct policy. Don't let this review keep you away from the property, just be aware of the policy when comparing it to others.
