Tamarindo Beach is a beautiful beach with amazing waves, sunsets and so much more. Tamarindo is a great town full of things to do, great restaurants, shops, and nightlife. People from all over the world call Tamarindo "home" making it a melting pot of experiences, food, and activities. Tamarindo has something for everyone...from family-friendly restaurants and activities, surf lessons, kayaking, boogie boarding, etc. to great restaurants, bars, and nightlife. There are amazing boutiques, souvenir shopping and great grocery stores, and farmers and night markets. Tamarindo is a great place to take a surf lesson or to hop on a boat for a day of fishing or a sunset Catamaran tour. We even have a skate park and basketball court for those who want something to do in addition to the beach. The Tamarindo Bay offers surf breaks for multiple levels of surfers and calm waters for those who just want to swim and float. The Tamarindo beach is a beautiful beach for walking, playing volleyball, or just sitting and watching the sunset. Just outside of Tamarindo, there are amazing bike trails for mountain bikers, and it's an easy drive to many other amazing beaches. MAT602A - This two-story, 4BR, luxury condo, located on the sixth and seventh floors of the elegant Matapalo complex, can be rented either as a 2 or 4BR unit. The lower floor has two bedrooms with an ocean view terrace, while the upstairs, which can be completely closed off from below is a large, luxurious apt. with 2 bedrooms and a kitchenette, private balcony and Jacuzzi. The entire condo is air conditioned, but all of the windows and doors have screens on them as well if you want to enjoy the ocean breeze or the sounds of nature that surround you!
The condo has the light floating feeling of being in a dream. Cream-colored tile floors with round-pebble detail span both levels, spilling out of glass doors onto patios that lead into thin air. The breathtaking view gives such a sensation of flying that you will find yourself reaching out for something to hold on to. Below, lies an exotic tropical garden that surrounds the free form pool. In the near distance, Tamarindo beach, lined by royal palms stretches to meet the La Baula Estuary and National Park. The scene fades away in the distance as sky and sea melt into a kaleidoscope of clouds.
On the first level there is a fully equipped state-of-the-art kitchen with beautiful granite counter tops that adjoins the living area. Efficiently compact and practical, the kitchen includes a flattop electric stove, oven, large double-door refrigerator with an ice dispenser, a dishwasher and all the necessary items to create and enjoy your favorite meals. A small and comfortable washroom is located between the kitchen and the main door. Arched doorways with classic columns lead from the main living area to two bedrooms located on this lower level. Each room is flooded with natural light, has spacious closets, and its own private bath. The bedroom located on the front side of the building has two sets of sliding glass doors; one leading to the common terrace and another that opens onto a private patio and a panoramic birds-eye-view. The bedroom on the other side has large windows that survey the rolling hills and coastline to the south.
But the most spectacular part of this space is still to come. In the living area a stone staircase spirals up to a second level of true luxury. The height is dizzying and the large windows and glass doors give the feeling of having stepped into the sky instead of a penthouse suite. From the ample balcony where the Jacuzzi bubbles, the earth has faded away and you are left only with the sea stretching into infinity, the sound of waves, the brush of the wind.
There is one bedroom with two twin beds, as well as a 2nd bedroom with a king sized bed. There is an enormous walk-in closet and a spacious bathroom equipped for two along with a second bathroom and shower. A generous living area and a small kitchen with every convenience of the larger kitchen below makes it seem unnecessary to leave the beauty of this private haven for even a minute.
Below, an enormous swimming pool of organic design is the center of the garden area and boasts a swim-up bar which you won’t want to miss. Across the street an oceanfront restaurant is preparing tropical delicacies to add sweetness and spice to the memories you will carry with you for a lifetime.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The condo was as presented, check in was easy and had quick responses for questions. Lola was amazing. The welcome gift was a nice touch and very much appreciated. Sunrise and sunset views and a very walkable location.My only suggestion is to provide luggage racks for the rooms that do not have a closet/dresser.

The good:
Great views, property management very responsive. Beds are extremely comfortable.
The not so good:
Upon arrival we only were given 4 card keys, and none worked. Had to wait for awhile to get 7 working ones.
Property needs a good once over by the owner. Missing and broken chairs. Bathroom sliding door needs a fix. No hooks in bathrooms for towels, no suitcase stands, and very little closet space. Only 1 parking spot for 2 families meant we had a share a golf cart between 7 ppl. Coffee maker upstairs does not have all parts (carafe belongs to a different machine). Only one hairdryer in upstairs unit (2 bathrooms). We were there 10 days and housecleaning was only there one time, and looked like they did the bare minimum. Had to ask for garbage bags 3 times (only had the one bag that was in bin when we arrived), took 24 hours to get housekeeping to get them for us. (Property manager responded immediately and let housekeeping know we needed bags).
As far as the outdoor experience goes (Diria resort as a whole), the pool nearest the complex does not allow guests to bring in their own food or drinks. That would be no issue if the staff working at the swim up bar was tripled. The wait to get a drink was way too long, and the staff appeared tired, unfriendly, and overworked.
