Luxury Smart System Enabled Home on the Hill with Beautiful View

We attended a wedding in Boring and this location and home was perfect for our needs. Close to stores and restaurants. Hosts communicated well.

The view was incredible! The interior and the accessories were amazing. 12 ladies who participated the 40th HTC used this luxury house as their home base during the race. We cooked our meals without any issues. We did our laundry as well. There were two sets of washer and dryer. Although our host was away, we had no problem of communicating with them Things were taken care of promptly.

House and property were nice but not in great condition. The photos are a bit deceptive. I feel that the $200 cleaning fee is excessive for the state the house was in upon arrival. It was tidy but in no way would I consider it professionally cleaned. Here is a list of stuff we encountered during our stay: -Scuffs and dings on walls throughout the house -Entry window sill covered in dead bugs/dust -The couch in living room is ripped/taped -Black bar stool unsafe/falling apart -Floor not very clean, hair throughout the house -Scuffs on floor -Hair in shower -Upstairs washroom missing knob on shower -Scuffs on entertainment top -Cupboard doors throughout house loose/don’t hang right -Kitchen drawers rubbing the wall -Dishwasher buttons missing -Both Apple TV remotes missing, couldn’t use Apple TV’s -No remote for sound system, couldn’t use sound system -Bulb above bar not working -Lamp in bedroom not working although it’s plugged in -Burn hole in comforter -Many dishes in cupboards were dirty/used -Found drugs and various items hidden behind art on shelf in bedroom, we flushed the drugs -Futon is stained and covered up with a blanket to hide Broken outlet/switch plates -Outdoor garbage and recycle full -Not enough towels or wash cloths -Sticky handles on cupboards -Downstairs master suite door broken upper lock, door doesn’t operate properly The driveway is steep and there are steep stairs from the driveway to the entrance. There are also stairs from the main floor to the bedrooms. If you have to unload a lot of stuff like we did or are someone with limited mobility I don’t recommend this property. Overall, it served its purpose but we would not book again.

This home was beautiful and was accommodating for my family of 11. During our trip, Oregon’s weather was extremely hot and unfortunately the air conditioner did not work very well which was the only downside of our stay. Besides that, we enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home.

Nick and Kim were very quick to respond. They helped us add on an extra day last minute. We were there for a family wedding and cooked several meals in the house. Smart system was down but we made due. Although It does make it feel like you are being monitored. Which didn’t feel great. Beds were comfortable. Although several lights in the house are attached to motion sensors. Which is very jarring in the middle of the night. Overall we enjoyed ourselves.

My partner and I got married this past weekend and most of our bridal parties were from out of town. It was so lovely to find such a perfect spot for us and our friends to be together and relax among all of the wedding business. The view was spectacular and the house had everything we needed.

This was a great property for a large group, but we had 4 octogenarians who needed to navigate stairs to the property, which could have been difficult without younger people to help.

The home was nice and as described. It was located in a quiet residential area so there were rules about noise. There are many reviews that mention the stairs and I will do the same so others are aware and stay safe. There was ice on the stairs when we stayed which made the stairs extremely dangerous. Once we purchased salt for the stairs it was safer. There were no lights on the stairs so going in and out when it was dark out was difficult.

Great house for family!

This place was perfect. The view with the changing fall colors was beautiful! Comfy beds too !!

The house was dusty and dirty. Wall paint patches didn't match and there were quite a few of them. Furniture and beds were cheap and uncomfortable. Location is nice and the house has a lot of potential but it needs a deep clean, touch up painting that matches, and high quality beds/bedding.

There were 6 adults (3 couples) in our party. The house was large enough for everyone to have their own space. The hosts were very responsive. Great location for all of our daily adventures & activities.

This house claims to be a smart house, but we found it to be frustrating. Their system for the lighting in the house was horrible (poor lighting) and Alexa was needed to turn on and off lights or they were motion activated. This is really annoying in the middle of the night when you have to go to the bathroom and all the lights in an area pop on while others are trying to sleep, or you have to tell Alexa to turn on the light and wake up your spouse. We also struggled to get Alexa to follow through with half the commands. More dish towels, a clean sponge, and trash bags in the kitchen would be nice also. The dog next door also barked at us anytime we went out on the deck. Other than those things, it was a greatest. Great location and very centralized.

I agree with all the positive reviews listed regarding this site. Our family all came together for a wedding held in Portland. This house was a very convenient location in a beautiful neighborhood. The home was very clean and well equipped. The owner also was a pleasure to work with. The house will not disappoint. Carol G

Lots of room for our family. The children really enjoyed the kid's bedroom. The owners were quickly responsive to questions. Be aware that there are many steep stairs to the entrance, would be difficult for senior guests. We would have liked more linens in the kitchen as we cooked a lot. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the size of the home worked well for our group.

We were in Portland to celebrate our daughter's college graduation. Loved the convenient location and walkable neighborhood. The large back patio was ideal for enjoying the warm days. Lots of stairs inside and outside the house helped us get in our cardio, but were a challenge for some older family members.

Beautiful home and property with gorgeous backyard with tons of greenery very relaxing close to many restaurants/grocery store and not far from Portland really enjoyed my stay

This review is for a different property managed by the same hosts. They were very nice and helpful. After receiving the entry info, we didn't have any need to contact them at all. They provided a nice instructional binder that contained all the info we needed, including some suggestions for local attractions. We visited a few of the suggested attractions and they were all fantastic (Pittock Mansion, Lan Su Gardens, Multnomah Falls). We had a wonderful time!

We had a great time at Nick and Michelle's property in Happy Valley. The neighborhood felt safe and the house was set up perfectly for us to stay in. The property was as described and we felt all of the rules for staying there were very reasonable. The hosts were readily available via message if we needed them but we didn't have any issues while staying here. It was a relaxing vacation and having a beautiful, comfortable place to stay made it that much better.

The home was gorgeous, owners were very nice and quick to reply, they made sure everything was good before we got there and let us know to reach out if we needed anything. Lovely property to stay at if you have the opportunity.
