Family Friendly Retreat in an Exclusive Water Front Community

We stayed here for a week in June to attend the US Open at Shinnecock Hills, which is only about 15 minutes away. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We comfortably fit 4-6 adults and two children in the 5+ bedrooms and the 3 full baths made mornings very easy. The brand new kitchen was gorgeous; we loved cooking meals in the double wall oven or just hanging out sitting at the peninsula. The house had everything we needed - pots/pans, dishes, silverware, appliances, towels, toys for kids, everything you need for the beach, bikes, etc. We just had to show up and enjoy. Our favorite part of the house was the gigantic backyard chock full of amenities - the in-ground pool was particularly refreshing after a hot day out on the golf course; my kids absolutely loved the playground, trampoline and zip line; the hammock was truly relaxing in the late afternoons; and the outdoor shower was convenient after a day at the beach. Also spent several nights just hanging out on the lovely paver patio enjoying the stars and peaceful quiet night. The house is about two blocks away from a small private beach on the bay, which was perfect for my two young daughters. We didn't have to worry about big waves and currents. There's also a playground and swings there for them to enjoy as well. You can also take a short drive down to larger beaches on the ocean. We loved going into the little town of East Quogue, which is a very short drive from the house. We particularly enjoyed New Moon Café - TexMex with good food, drinks and atmosphere. We also ate at Cucina Italian Restaurant, family style Italian food that was amazing, as well as Dockers Waterside on Dune Road, which was a little more pricey, but the location on the water and the seafood were well worth it. There are many other attractions nearby within short driving distances - strawberry picking, shopping at Tanger outlets, multiple golf courses, etc. The owners of the house were absolutely fantastic. They made sure we had everything we needed and provided great recommendations and advice for enjoying our stay. We could not have asked for better hosts. Simply put, the house exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great and relaxing time on the Eastern end of Long Island to take advantage of this lovely property. We are certainly looking forward to staying here again in the future.

We have had a wonderful stay in this house. The owner made the whole process of renting this property a joy. The house is perfect for families with kids. Already planning next years vacation.

We just spent the week in East Quogue and could not be happier with our experience. The house is beautiful and perfect for children. The yard is amazing! Most/all of our time was spent in the back yard...swimming, on the playground, napping on the hammock, or just enjoying the peace and quiet. The pool was lovely and a perfect temperature. There is plenty of living space inside the home and the bedrooms were really comfortable. The owners were quick to respond to our initial email (availability) request (which is not always the case when renting online). The area information left by the owners was also a nice touch. It was great to know where the local farmers market and shops were located. The house was just a short drive to any store/market. All in all, it was a great rental experience and we would love to return.
