About this apartment rental

Welcome to our bungalow. It is bright, cheerful and lots of windows to feel and smell the ocean breezes. The bedrooms include very comfy Queen beds, ceiling fans, dressers and plenty of light. The living room has a 56 inch samsung smart TV, basic cable Spectrum app, and Wifi. No need to bring linens or towels , we provide all the necessities for you. The kitchen is fully stocked with seasonings, dishes, pots and pans, blender, hot air popcorn popper, plates, bowls , glasses, silverware, small vinyl ice chest on wheels, beach chairs and umbrella The patio has seating and a propane BBQ. If you need another bedroom book our studio which is located below VRBO 4403165.
We have a solar shower in our front downstairs patio. We also provide shared his and her bikes and 2 kayaks with the downstairs studio bungalow. We have a Brussels Griffon that is our amazing doggie. She is 10 years old and loves to meet and greet our guests. So if you are homesick for your doggie come see Angel!
The Alley is our favorite eatery a local hang out around the corner. Great daily specials and Best pour on the shore! Tell them Gary and Carla sent you.

About this apartment rental

The house was perfect for our family of 4. Our kids loved all the stuffed animals, toys, and themed blankets. The living room was a perfect gathering place for all of us to play and hang out. The location was perfect! It’s a couple blocks from the beach and easy for us to get around with our bikes. The outdoor patio is so cute too and lit with string lights. Carla is so nice and very accommodating. She is so sweet and very responsive if you need anything. I’d definitely come back.

This home is in a good location, a very short and quick walk to the beach. Beware you have to cross Balboa Blvd. It gave me a little anxiety crossing it with my four kids. Carla and Greg have everything you need for the beach... a wagon (which will probably have to be replaced soon, it's pretty rusty), umbrellas, boogy boards, chairs, and beach toys. The home was cozy. We visited in July so the weather was warm but nice C.A. summer weather. Inside was a little warm here and there throughout the day, especially when you used to the stove to cook. The home has fans, window a/c units in both bedrooms, and there was a new a/c unit in the livingroom that was being fixed. Alternating between opening the windows and running the a/c units was a little tricky but once you figured it out the unit was cool. The home was clean and stocked. The only thing that was disappointing was the beds felt like sand was under the sheets so we slept on top of the sheets, which worked out fine for us to keep cool at night. We didn't find sand anywhere else in the house so it was shocking to find it under the bed sheets. We didn't bother Carla with this but I'm sure if we did she would've took care of it. The perk to having the home owners living on the property. For those thinking this might be weird, it wasn't, it was like Carla and Greg weren't there. The parking on the property was a huge plus. The tables and chairs on the patio was especially nice to use to eat our meals. Overall nice place!

This property really catered to my family and our love for enjoying newport beach outside. The kayaks, surfboard, bikes and SUP that are offered with the unit really made our stay enjoyable. Carla was very attentive to our needs and the unit is fully stocked.

I was really looking forward to a Nice 3 night stay. Everything looked Good... PROS: Location CONS: 1) Commercial Refigeration & HVAC units running around the clock. Right outside your window(s)(2nd Floor.) Lovely. 2) The Exhaust fan in the Downstairs Bathroom sounds like a Cessna 172 taking off. It's right below the 2nd floor Bedroom where you try to Sleep. Sheez. Got woken up a few times the 1st night. Then several times the 2nd night. *** 2-4 hours of Sleep per night is not Cool. 3) Booked for 3 nights & Left after 2. If you like Cramped & Noisy, Enjoy. :(

Great vacation! The place was clean, super kid friendly... there were lots of toys and games for the kiddos and it was minutes from the beach. We enjoyed walking there with our two kids. Carla was great! We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

I can’t say enough great things about this property. Carla was wonderful! It is so close to the beach and has everything you need to go there. We enjoyed the beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards etc. while we were there. Highly recommend this property and we hope to come back someday. :)

This rental is clean, decorated with a cute beach theme, very comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches and has a great location. The owners are wonderful too. It was perfect for our little family of four. Would highly recommend!

This rental is great for a family or friends. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Netflix and other premium channels available if you like. Owners provide all beach fun stuff. Bikes, boogie/surf boards, chairs, ect. Great location. Most of the homes in area don't have AC but this place has one per room. There was a heat wave while we were there and it was 90+ during the day. Highly recommend staying here.

Comfortable super well appointed apartment, close to beach and convenient to so much of what this area has to offer. Carla and her family are the most gracious and accommodating hosts. There is nothing we asked about or requested, that was not provided for us. Cooking was a breeze, as was walking to Balboa Pier. My husband and I walked there daily for our morning coffee. There kitchen has everything you need, the bathroom had shampoo, conditioner toothpaste and sunburn treatments. There is nothing that Carla and her family has not thought about, as far as what guests might need. The only negative is the parking situation, Parkingis tight at the apartment but everyone does their utmost best to make sure everyone can park In the driveway. I recommend a small car, that the driveway may easily accommodate!

Super cute 2 bdrm place. My 8 and 10-year-old loved it. Very cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean when we arrived and look just like the photos online, if not better! Kitchen is amazing and stocked well with good knives and pots and pans… Everything you need to make a great meal. Bedrooms have nice bedding and the beds were comfortable. Loved the pillows! The bathroom was well stocked with plenty of towels for everyone including cute beach towels to use for the hot tub. Bathroom is a little bit small but each bedroom has mirrors in them so people can take their shower and finish getting ready in the bedrooms. We had five people and my older son who is 22 slept on the couch which was super comfy. The hot tub was toasty and ready for us whenever we wanted to use it. It is located behind the house in a cute little garden area - very beautiful little spot! FYI... It is right next to the owners unit and their large windows look over the hot tub area... which was fine for us but I felt bad or a little awkward when we used the hot tub in the evening because we could see right into their unit ... I kind of felt like a peeping Tom ha ha.... but they didn’t seem to mind at all. In fact she came out and introduced herself and made sure we knew how to use everything and see if we had any questions… Carla is very nice! The kids enjoyed the park down the street… It’s super close and has a large grassy area and jungle gym and a sandy beach area on the bay. The home is also right behind a little strip mall with some shops and restaurants and a Circle K which was convenient. I walked across the street in the morning to get donuts for the family at the Circle K… They were yummy! I thought this place was a great value! It was a little bit further away from the ocean , and I think it’s a little less expensive because of that, but it worked out great for us to be closer to freeway and definitely an easy bike ride to all the fun spots!
