About this house rental
LOCATION: Located on Evergreen Road (the road leading to the South Bethany Town Hall)
Joan's Ark is a quaint, affordable family beach house. This was our mother's home with the purpose of gathering her children and grandchildren together and holds many dear memories for all of us. Please note that this is a HOME; it is not owned by an investment or management company. It is simple, but well-equipped and maintains the essence of our mother. It is perfect for families and friends wanting to get away and enjoy the beach in a feel-at-home environment. It is located in Cat Hill in South Bethany and is close to Bethany Beach, Dewey Beach, Fenwick Island, and Ocean City. It is a little over a 5-minute walk to an expanded beach and provides the following for a perfect getaway:
· Short walk to beach from South Bethany's bay side
· An affordable rental fee that is lower than comparable rental homes that are within walking distance of the beach
· 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a bright, comfortable living area (*bring your own bed sheets, bath linens*)
· A well-equipped kitchen, perfect for communal meals (*bring your own kitchen linens*)
· A partial wraparound deck with a dining table and gas grill
· Plenty of parking
· An outdoor shower
· Located on the bay side, it provides easy access to view a network of canals and bird life to view on morning and evening strolls; one can also enjoy crabbing and fishing from the canals as well as renting stand up paddle (SUP) boards, kayaks or Hobie Cats nearby.
· Personal homey feel (this is not just a rental house; it's our home)
· Free WiFi
· Near a walking and bike path
· A short drive to a surfing beach and several state seashore parks
· Short drive to the shopping outlets in Rehoboth (no sales tax!)
· Located in South Bethany, one of the “Quiet Resorts”
· On a quiet day or night, you can hear the ocean sitting on our deck

· Must have an on-site renter be at least 25 years or older
· During the high season we only do weekly rentals, but ask! *July is strictly weekly rentals from Friday to Friday.*

This is a wonderful home located in a very quiet and convenient neighborhood in South Bethany Beach, and the walk to the beach is close enough that during our entire stay, we did not even utilize the provided South Bethany Beach parking pass, as we did not need it. South Bethany Beach is very clean and not crowded at all, which was very nice. The area is very scenic with many trees, birds and other wildlife. Walking near the water was peaceful and there is plenty of areas to walk that are shaded. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Unlike many rentals that we have stayed in the past, you feel like you belong here and it reminds you of being in your own home in may aspects (a cozy warm relaxed feeling while you are there). We wished we could have stayed here longer than one week, as we all had a very nice time and the week passed very quickly by. We hope that we have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.
