The Olive Tree - Seaview Apartments

Unsere Ferienwohnung hatte zwei Schlafzimmer und war überraschend groß und luftig, das Badezimmer neuwertig und in den Schlafräumen mit Klimaanlagen ausgestattet. Die Terasse ist überwältigend: riesig, überdacht und man hat einen phantastischen Ausblick auf die Strasse von Messina, Sizilien ( incl. Ätna ) bis hin zu den Äolischen Inseln mit dem Stromboli als highlight ! Unbezahlbar ! Wem das noch nicht reicht, der kann die Dachterasse des Nachbargebäudes mit benutzen. Den Ausblick von dort wird man nie mehr vergessen. Das Allerbeste aber ist die Freundlichkeit, Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Vermieters Francesco und seiner Partnerin Sophia, die im Erdgeschoss eines der vermieteten Gebäude wohnen. Die beiden sind stets ansprechbar und unglaublich bemüht.

Beautiful appartment with an amazing view The appartment is really big (big lounge, big kitchen, big bedroom, two  bathrooms, two balconies). From one of the balconies you have a stunning view of the sea and of Sicily and the Lipari-islands. It's a quiet place that invites to calm down and relax. The place is only a few minutes away from the beach (by car). The host Francesco is very polite and accomodating and provides a lot of useful information about places to visit. All in all, our experience was really good and we can strongly recommend it!

The best thing with this apartment was the big balcony with an astonishing view over the Capo Vaticano, Sicily and Stromboli. The apartment is on the second floor, it's big with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom and 2 bathrooms, whereas one is newly refurbished and the other one is older. The beaches around Vaticano are very beautiful.

Glasses, plates and cutlery was not well dished upon arrival so we had to wash it before using it. The owner lives on the ground floor. On the last evening, the owner informed us that he was having a gathering with friends for playing guitarr and asked us if it was ok. We said it was ok, we usually do not have any problems with that. Initially it was nice listening to the guitarr playing and songs. But the later the evening got, the louder and drunk they got, it became a full party and we could not sleep. This was not ok behaviour when being a host. At 1 am at night we could still not sleep and we had to contact the owner. Then they stopped. Hopefully it will not happen again and affect future guests.
