SUNRISE - LUXURY VILLA AT THE HEART OF THE ISLAND

My family and I have been a very active part of the VRBO community for nearly 20 years. I can say that of all the hosts we have rented from, Peggy is far and away the best. Incredibly accommodating and helpful right from the get-go and throughout our stay. The house itself offers breathtaking views, and a great pool. At first we thought the covered but open-air living, dining, and kitchen areas might be tough given the warm weather but they were more than fine. Plus we were able to end our days in well air-conditioned bedrooms. The home’s central location is also a huge plus in that no where on the island is more than a 15-minute drive and the shops, bars, and restaurants of St. Jean are only about a 10-minute walk down the hill (about 15-mins back up the hill ;-) ). Well can’t recommend the rental highly enough!

The villa was great! Super location and Peggy is an an amazing host. I would highly recommend and can't wait to return.

The view from the outside space is amazing. Three of the rooms open up to this space which is so relaxing. The 4th room is on the lower floor. Very spacious and private. Peggy greets you, checks in with you throughout and makes sure all your needs are met or questions answered. We had very few because the villa is well stocked and in good order. The villa is perched high in the hills directly up from St. Jean Beach. The location puts you 15 mins from anywhere on the island. If you rent a car get an all wheel drive. The road is steep and slippery when wet. We didn’t do that but it would have made driving a breeze. Fatima, the woman who cares for the property on a daily basis is amazing. We can’t say enough about the experience we had.

We had an excellent stay at Sunrise Villa. The location could not be any better (unless of course it was right on the beach) but it is right up the hill in St. Jean, a very short distance from the best beach (St. Jean) and hotel (Eden Rock) on the island and a short drive to the main town in Gustavia The outdoor area of the house is especially nice and has lots of seating that can accommodate many people. The view is fantastic, and our little daughter loved watching the planes land and take off at the airport nearby. The bedrooms were cozy, with mosquito netting on all beds which unfortunately is a must in St. Barths. The house was well cleaned every day by a lovely housekeeper. The best part was the management...Peggy and Phillipe, who were incredibly accommodating and helpful. They made sure we were very well taken care of, gave us advice on dining, diving, beaches, etc. They are great people. One thing to note is there is not a shallow area in the pool if you have young kids or disabled guests who might need that sort of thing. However, our kiddo was happy playing on the pool stairs and going to the beach. As for recommendations nearby: we liked food from Maya's To Go, enjoyed lunch and swimming at the Eden Rock hotel which had a very calm beach great for our young daughter. Nikki Beach was fun for lunch, drinks, music etc. esp. on Sunday. La Plage was also great for renting beach chairs by the ocean and having lunch or drinks. L'Isola was wonderful upscale Italian in Gustavia. Shell beach was also fun, lots of kids there. Enjoy!!!
