Arsulana Eco Lodge & Spa

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and it was one of the most unique places we visited in Sri Lanka. The drive to the hotel takes you deep into the jungle, which already makes the experience feel special. When we arrived, we were amazed by how beautiful the property was. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, full of lush greenery and nature everywhere you look. The room looked exactly like the photos, and the entire atmosphere felt peaceful, magical, and authentic. We really enjoyed walking around the property and taking in the incredible scenery. The staff were all exceptionally kind and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. A special thank you to Mahinda, who is also the chef. Besides helping us organize activities like canyoning and even arranging a tuk-tuk, he prepared some of the best food we had during our entire trip. Since this was the first Sri Lankan meal we had after landing, he set the bar incredibly high - it was a perfect 10/10.

There were only two small things we missed. A mini fridge in the room would have been very useful, and the hotel doesn’t serve alcohol. Since it’s such a romantic place for couples, we would have loved to enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening. Also, leaving the hotel takes some time because of its remote location, so it’s worth planning ahead. Other than that, we honestly don’t have a single negative thing to say. Everything was wonderful, and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and peaceful stay surrounded by nature.

Wow Arsulana Lodge is wonderful! A perfect way to end our travels around Sri Lanka before heading back to Colombo. It is so peaceful just being immersed in the forest surrounded by nature and wildlife. Our two bedroom villa was huge with the most wonderful veranda overlooking the natural swimming pool in the rocks that we swam in everyday with the monkeys watching. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and the food tasty. The whole hotel is just beautifully decorated. The kids loved the pool table room too. Thank you for a wonderful few days. We also enjoyed the water rafting which is not too far away.

Nothing at all as was wonderful. The only suggestion is to replace the single use plastic shampoo and showergel with refill bottles like you have the handsoap. So many Sri Lankan hotels still have this!

Une décoration et un style extrêmement élégant, ont métamorphosé ces habitations historiques pour une alchimie parfaite ! Nous étions en ville avec magnifique piscine, juste au-dessus du torrent, on se sent seuls au monde !
