About this apartment rental
Get out of the fog and into the sun. Enjoy the year-round mild climate and central location of San Rafael, with effortless access to San Francisco to the south (thirty minutes across the world famous Golden Gate Bridge), the spectacular wine country of Napa, Sonoma, and Alexander Valleys (forty minutes), and Berkeley (thirty minutes).
Our home is located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood. 18 steps lead to this attached in-law unit, which features many amenities and unique privacy. Another 12 steps to a semi-private swimming pool, hot tub, and deck, featuring nearly three-hundred-sixty-degree views of the Bay and Mt. Tamalpais.
Our electricity is generated by solar panels and we have a rigorous recycling program. Our full kitchen features coffee-maker, dishwasher, gas over and stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer.
Less than fifty yards away is a hiking trail in a eucalyptus forest, with views of San Francisco in the distance.
Marin County offers beaches, golf, hiking, and biking. (Mountain biking was 'invented' on Mt. Tam.) Local scenery includes breathtaking vistas of Mount Tam, and the ancient redwood forests of Muir Woods, sightseeing in Sausalito and Tiburon, and much more. It features restaurants to fit every budget and culinary taste, as well as, excellent theatre, cinema, and shopping.
San Rafael, home of the 2nd most northern and oldest Catholic mission (founded 1817), also features a civic center designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and a refurbished art deco theater in a revitalized downtown.

Great communication with the owner! The home was beautiful and cozy! I could have lived there, that’s how comfortable it was. Very clean and comfortable beds, Well stocked kitchen also. The stairs were a bit tricky but I managed! If ever up in this area again I would definitely stay! Thanks Mark and Judi

The place was ideal. It’s a beautiful place and very convenient to get into the city to do sight seeing. We didn’t stay at the property much but we were able to use the hot tub and pool which was great. Highly recommend staying there if you’re looking for a place in the area.
