About this cottage rental

This tiny cottage has it all! Private laundry, a kitchen, comfortable Queen bed and most importantly an authentic Savannah historic district home in a great walkable location!

Part of a historic railroad worker's cottage 'triplex' compound, this cottage built in the 1870's has a shared yard space with walkway to Jones Street. There is no shared interior space in this rental, so you will have privacy. The cottage has a Queen bed, a small kitchenette with a cooking range, a washer/dryer and a bathroom with shower. This is a great spot for someone without a car. If you have a car, parking for this cottage is free on the street (Jones Street). This location is half a mile from the Riverfront.

Quaint, quirky little cabin in a nice historic neighborhood. Pretty easy walking distance to almost everywhere we wanted to go. We liked the little kitchen, the washer/dryer and the little outdoor courtyard. It was nice to have a 3-ring binder of useful information, recommendations, etc. The place was well stocked with all the towels, soap, utensils, etc. that we needed. The were only two negatives: (1) The walls are thin, and we could hear our next-door neighbors pretty easily; and (2) The ceiling register by the closet directed a blast of air at one side of the bed, and I woke up with a bad sore throat the first morning. The latter was a simple enough fix -- I used a broom handle to adjust the louvers on the register so air was directed away from the bed. (It was too high for me to reach by standing on a chair.) Overall, a good experience. I would recommend to others and would probably stay there again.

There really was not a designated host although I did call the number listed and the woman I spoke to was helpful and lovely. Here are my suggestions.1. Given the unseasonable cold, it would’ve been great if you would have called us and suggested we left the water dripping as we had no running water in the bathroom the following day. I wish of course that I would’ve thought this myself. We were able to get water out of the kitchen sink to pour into the container in the back of the toilet to get it to flush.2. I was unable to find any ability to stream through Netflix or any streaming apps. So I use my own computer instead of being able to watch the television. And by the way, the television was really tiny.3. The room had coffee and a coffee pot, but it would’ve been really nice to have some creamers so we did not make use of the coffee because of that. The place we stayed at the night before had all these amenities and was less expensive and had an available host who was very responsiveThanks for taking all of the cent considerationDonna Torrisi
