About this house rental
Located on Kauai's verdant North Shore, Anini is a haven for the traveler who wants to experience the unspoiled natural beauty of Hawaii. Protected by a large outer reef, the quiet waters of Anini are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, windsurfing, and sunning.
Follow Anini Road almost to the spot where it dead ends at Anini Stream and you will find Hale Kai, a lovely, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home situated on over a half acre of lushly landscaped land fronting the blue Pacific. Constructed of natural cedar throughout, the home is fully and tastefully furnished for the ultimate in vacationing comfort. Please note the last quarter mile is unpaved and get quite bumpy depending on the weather.
Amenities:
* King-sized bed in master suite. Private bathroom with tub/shower. Two twin beds in each guest room. Guest bath with eight-foot by three-foot shower. Half bath downstairs. Covered deck with table, chairs, and chaise lounges (perfect for whale watching during the humpback whale migration season!).
* Fully-equipped kitchen with four-burner gas range with oven, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, wet bar, six-foot bar/serving counter, coffee maker, toaster, blender, mixer, etc.
* Entertainment center which includes 36-inch color cable TV.
* Other amenities include washer and dryer, telephones, barbecue, and beach toys.
We provide FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS (via Cable), FREE UNLIMITED LONG DISTANCE CALLING (within the USA), CALLER ID, 3 WAY CALLING, AND *69 (enabling you to dial the last number who called you).
Hale Kai is fully permitted as a transient vacation rental by the County of Kauai. Our Non Conforming Use Certificate number is 5083.
Please note that this property is in a Tsunami Zone as most beachfront property on the island. Detailed information regarding the corresponding evacuation is provided at the accommodation.

The house is on a very secluded area of the beach (To the nearest town/facilities it’s a 25 minute drive). We loved the location. The beach is awesome - great snorkeling, swimming and fishing. Often we were the only ones on the beach. There is no air conditioning in this house, like most houses on Kauai. That makes for more humidity, earlier mornings (the roosters crow at 4am!) and more bugs indoors. Just be aware of this, as we rarely had a solid nights sleep. Bring a sleep mask and sleep aid. The house is older, and could use more comfortable furniture inside and out - we stayed a week, which in hindsight was a bit too long for the furnishings. The kitchen is quite nice and well apportioned. We appreciated the beach toys/chairs for use, too. If it was up to me, a mini-split a/c in the master, poly wood furniture outside, and a new set of living room furniture would move the price point up 30%, and this place would be a gem. If you are looking for a home on a secluded, Kauai beach - this place is it.

Our trip to the Annini Beach House was amazing. The home and amenities could use some updating, but the pricing was fair considering the unbeatable location right on the beach. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we truly enjoyed our stay.
