About this house rental
Come enjoy the beautiful southern Oregon coast at this spacious three bedroom/three bath house perched on ocean front property, just south of the Brookings Harbor, Brookings, OR. It has an expansive deck that invites sunbathing, with private stairs (with built in viewing seats as you ascend/descend) leading down a secluded driftwood strewn beach. At low tide, enjoy an easy stroll along the beach (sea shell hunting and tide pools galore) all the way to the harbor jetty, only about one mile away.
Our oceanfront home offers a large great room with a huge hand-crafted stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling ocean views, game/card table, and bumper pool table. Renovated kitchen with brand new custom cabinets, granite counter tops, tile flooring & backsplash, and all new stainless steel electrical appliances. The 'Captain's Quarters' or master bedroom/ocean view has one King, the 'Crews' Quarters' bedroom/ocean view has two Queen beds, and the upstairs room (limited view) has four twin beds. Each room has its own private full bath.
Spend a weekend, a week, or a month listening to the roar of the ocean as you fall asleep and wake up to the view of bright blue waves crashing on the rocks of the beautiful southern Oregon coast. Nearby you can enjoy shopping at the Brookings Harbor Mall shops, go bike riding on the Oregon Coast Bike path, visit/hike the Jedediah Smith State Park, or try golfing at the new Salmon Run Golf course. First and foremost the view out the panoramic windows and from the huge deck is second to none. Incredible. Stairs to beach are safe, easy and have multiple rest benches. Great even for seniors.The beds are comfortsble, not too hard, not too soft, no mattress issues at all. Bathrooms are clean, have great towels, very good lighting and walk-in showers. Shower shoes would be a good idea for seniors in the downstairs bathrooms as the showers have tile floors.We never used the TV as the view from the living room was so captivating we had no interest in television. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking although you may have to look a bit to find a particular utensil or knife, etc. Seemed like whomever was there before us put a little bit of everything in each drawer. We cooked every meal at house for 4 days and had everything we needed.Guest have access to garage from inside house in order to get beach chairs and charcoal bbq. Propane bbq would be nice but we used the charcoal one twice and it worked really well.The location of this house alone makes it worth the cost. It is called Pelican Path for a reason. Make sure to be home and looking for Pelicans in the afternoon, if the wind is right they will fly up the coast above the bluff about 15 feet at most right over the deck. I am already planning to come back.

I never give a complete 5 star review but I have nothing to complain about. I love the family history behind the house and that you share those memories. It was a wonderful stay and so clean. Usually I found small things not cleaned and there was nothing I saw out of place or “could have been better”. This is a definite place we will have on our list to stay at again.

This is a fun, older beach house. Beautiful views of the ocean. You had full access to the beach right from the house! We loved that part so much! The one part about the beach access is the last 10 stairs are small, broken down rock stairs. It would be very difficult for an elderly person to do the final stairs. We have a handicap person we had to get to the beach and the final stairs made it difficult. For able bodied people, the stairs would NOT be a problem at all.
