Welcome to “A Place At The Beach III”, Atlantic Beach’s premier vacation resort! In addition to the beautiful, wide, white sand beach and gorgeous views, enjoy numerous amenities included at no additional charge at this family-friendly complex.
'Lorna Dune' is a third floor 2 BR/2 BA unit with ocean and sound views from the balcony. The master bedroom features a queen bed, a private bathroom and private entrance to the balcony. The second (front) bedroom has large, sturdy bunk beds (full over queen with stairs instead of a ladder). Up to six guests can sleep comfortably in this unit.
The fully-equipped kitchen has a washer and dryer. The former wet bar in the living area is now a workstation with electrical outlets/USB ports. Free wireless broadband internet is available.
A Place At The Beach III offers the best amenities of any resort on the Crystal Coast. The oceanfront location of the resort allows immediate access to the beach without crossing any streets. The large outdoor pool offers a wade-in area for toddlers as well as the only giant water slide in Atlantic Beach. A central courtyard also features an updated kid's playground and a large grassy area as well as outdoor charcoal grills. An indoor pool with hot tub and a deck with gas grills are only a few steps from this unit. The resort also includes lighted tennis courts, cornhole, shuffleboard, 9-hole mini-golf course, ping-pong table (all necessary sports equipment is available at the office), and an outdoor hot tub. The knowledgeable resort staff are on the premises to help with any questions you may have.
The surrounding area offers lots of additional attractions. Morehead City and Beaufort are a short drive away. Beautiful, historic Fort Macon State Park is within walking distance. The beautiful NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is a 15-minute drive. Surf, pier, and charter fishing (inlet and deep sea) are available year-round. Fresh local seafood is served at many nearby restaurants and fish markets. Grocery stores, shopping centers and a movie theatre are all within a few minutes' drive.

Our 5 day stay was wonderful! The condo was very clean and stocked with basic essentials. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to lounge in the living room. The view feom the balcony is pretty good. The property was easy to navigate, and the kids enjoyed both pools, and we all enjoyed the private beach access. It was a very relaxing trip.

Great condo! Exactly as pictured. It's an easy walk down to the beach. Indoor pool was chilly, but the hot tub is right there to warm you up.We were sad to not have been able to use the outdoor pool, but it's become an issue in North Carolina that many pools cannot open on schedule because there aren't enough state inspectors to get to them in time. Not the fault of the owner or APATB.

Victoria's condo was a nice little place and the pictures do it no justice. It's a short 5 minute walk from the beach. The stay would have been a bit more enjoyable if not for the work being done on the exterior of the building. Overall it was well worth it and I'd recommend staying here and visiting the area

The morning of our arrival I contacted owner via email and text asking about a late check out of noon. Got not response. Upon arrival at condo at 4 arrived to find the condo not cleaned at all beds not changed and made etc. Texted owner pics of the situation and no response. Called and she finally answered. Owner was upset and apologetic. At this point I offered to change and make the beds myself. She refused and said housekeeper was on her way. Wanted my husband and to go out to dinner on the housekeeper to make up for it at 4 pm while they cleaned. We did not want to do this because we were waiting on the other couple staying with us and my husband couldn't even eat at that time cause we were in town for a power lifting competition in which he had to weigh in. She asked what she could do to make it right and I said a monetary refund but she refused that and wanted the housekeeper to pay for dinner. I also told her I would think about it. That evening finally get a text from her stating we don't have to check out till 1pm. Not what I asked for! I sent her receipts for dinner and told her that a late check out was no longer necessary. I STILL haven't heard from her. Texted as instructed upon departure and still no acknowledgement.
The bunk bed room desperately needs a blackout curtain! Its like a torture chamber with the lights from the condo hallway flooding through the blinds. The master bedroom bed squeaks every time you make a move.
