About this cabin rental

A lovely, welcoming, warm and sunny cabin on the lower Rogue River. Everything you need to enjoy a lovely family vacation or romantic get away. Perfect fishing spot for the amazing Rogue River King Salmon, Steelhead, and many other species of fish. You can swim or float the river right in front of your cabin. Perfect for hiking, biking, swimming, and bird watching of the abundant Osprey and Eagle population. Deer wander the property, along with the quail and wild turkey.

Everything you need to either cook at home, cook out, or a short drive to the world renowned TU TU TUN Lodge. A quick trip into Gold Beach provides access to Jet Boat trips, shelling at the Ocean, and watching beautiful sunsets from the dramatic Oregon Coast. About an hour from the famous Bandon Dunes Golf Course.

Back at home we provide board games, kites, puzzles, TV and a hammock for those who just want to chill. A beautiful place to spend time with those you love or just be alone in nature.

There are 2 other cabins on the property. Perfect for large families.

While the cabin was indeed small, we enjoyed the coziness most of the time. Only 3 soft seats and 4 of us, so we took turns! Kitchen was simple but we were able to cook spaghetti. Too many unnecessary "baking tools," like 2 rolling pins?! Couldn't find any rubber spatulas and cups were only 6 oz, so we had to improvise.The view of the 'Osprey Tree' was a constant enjoyment - more than 6 nests with babies, ready to launch at the end of June! Beds were not soft, but more firm... we slept well. There is a large RV park next to the cabin(s), so you drive or walk through it, daily. We loved the wildlife we saw daily, bird varieties, deer, and a cow; the river was a great place to walk along, as frontage was generous. Town is about 15 minutes away, so no worries about collecting something you forgot (or a 12 oz coffee mug)! Remember, there is no dishwasher or washing machine.

Our family had a great time vacationing while staying in this cabin. It is well furnished and had everything that we needed for our family of four. And it is set right next to Rogue river. Our kids had a lot of fun playing in the river and the sand while I was busy bird watching. Also, we were able to explore South Oregon coast and make a day trip to Redwoods and returning to the beautiful cabin to be rested in a peaceful setting! No vehicle noises whatsoever to bother you! Would love to go back and stay longer!

The location and cottage were perfect. We had friends staying at the RV park right next door. It worked out so we could all gather for evening meals and visiting. The cottage was immaculate and well supplied for all our needs. You couldn't ask for a more perfect location with the view of the river and surrounding hills. The owner and property manager were both a delight to work with. Will definitely be back.

This was the most amazing spot for our family of 5 to stay while we traveled the coast and went to the Redwoods! The bunk beds were perfect for our teens and the living space was perfect. We spent most of our time outside in the hammock, around the fire, and down by the Rogue River skipping rocks. The river is so close to this property. We saw dear, cranes, lots of birds, Boat tours going up river, and more dear that came right up to us. Really hoping one day we can go back. Thank you again Haas family🙂

Pleasant cottages on the Rouge Neat and tidy kitchen but sparsely stocked with pots and pans. Nice outdoor patio with picnic tables and fire pit. We were here July 9-10 the weekend of the speed boat racing kind of loud and ongoing. Really our only disappointment. Would recommend staying here it’s a beautiful mostly peaceful spot to get away from it all

My daughter’s family and I had an AWESOME visit this weekend at this cabin which sits in a great location right above the Rogue River not far from Gold Beach We spent the day time down by the river and the evenings on the patio looking out to great views as we enjoyed the bbq and then the fire pit underneath the light of an awesome full moon. Everything about the cabin met the description in VRBO listing and both the owner and local host were very responsive to any questions or needs . We will certainly utilize this location again.

However, if you're planning a summer stay, we'd strongly advise that you check in with the property owner and local calendars to see if there are any hydroplane races scheduled for the weekend as they are horrifically loud and frightening for small children.

This place is a bit off the beaten path, approximately 18 minutes from the coastal highway but worth the drive. Nestled in a canyon with spectacular views of the Rogue River is a private bungalow. I stayed here with my family of 6, with 4 smaller children. It fit us perfectly. The keeper texted just prior to arrival and I felt I could communicate any-time if the need arose. Everything was as clean as it could be and many amenities were provided. Smooth transaction and I am recommending this place to friends. Would stay again.

We’re traveling from Northern California while visiting Gold Beach and riding Jerry’s jet boats. We booked 2 nights here and enjoyed it so much we extended another day. The host was very gracious in our request as well. We were lucky enough to have great weather during our stay and the easy access to the Rogue river for a swim and play was a huge plus! A long haul from home and worth every mile travelled. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful river view, comfortable and clean. Had everything we needed except no hammock as in the photos which I was quite looking forward to. Other than that it was as described and an easy distance to gold beach. Walking down at the river was really lovely and we even found some agates! Great bird watching too! We didn’t get around to swimming but there was a nice spot and the fire pit and bbq at the cabin also were nice perks that we didn’t get around to taking advantage of either. Traveling with a 9 month old is a lot of work! Great place that I would definitely stay in again and recommend.

Beautiful setting. Spent time away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and enjoyed some peace and quiet. It's wonderful to be able to walk out the front door, across the lawn, and be on the riverbank casting lines.
