About this house rental

This landmark home is close to everything in Kansas City..The Plaza 5min, Westport 4min, Power and Light 6min, highway access 3min. Located in Midtown KC in the historic neighborhood of Hyde Park, the house was built in 1911 by the Chief of police John B. Hayes during the Pendergast era. The house received a complete restoration from 2010-2016 and has been featured in Kansas City Home and Garden and Ink Magazine. This listing is for the first and second floor, the third floor is a separate unit accessed via the back porch. Both units are listed and can be rented.

Host was responsive. House was clean and beautifully decorated for the holidays. There were plenty of pots, pans, and dishes for us to make meals. Lovely, large home, and a great neighborhood to walk in.

There were a few dusty spots and cobwebs, but overall pretty clean. Biggest complaint was that every time we went into the basement to do laundry we saw 1-2 roaches. The host immediately sprayed as soon as we Told him, but those are tricky buggers to get rid of. told
