This is a unique fully furnished private 2 bedroom/1 (newly renovated) bathroom suite located on two forested acres at the base of beautiful Mt. Finlayson in magical Goldstream Park. With stunning forest views, cozy open concept living space and gorgeous deck overlooking a creek lined with ancient Red Cedars, this space is a Nature lovers dream. Perfect for resting, painting, meditating, forest gazing or birdwatching, the ever changing view will mesmerize any onlooker. The cozy open concept living space - complete with wood-stove for a cottage feel - is great for socializing while cooking, and continues out onto a large private deck, perfect for enjoying a meal (weather permitting), socializing, or catching a quiet moment alone with the forest.
You may feel like you are sleeping in the trees as each bedroom boasts secluded forest views of towering Red Cedars. During the Winter you can crack your window and let the creek rushing past lull you to sleep.
This space is ideal for those who want to get away from the beaten path, and are looking for a nature based experience. Located in the heart of the park, you can access hiking trails galore in every direction - down into the ancient giants along Goldstream River or up to the heights of Mt. Finalyson for views of the entire region. As secluded as you may feel, we are located just 5 mins from amenities in Langford (shopping, restaurants, movies ect) and 15 mins from downtown Victoria. Only 1 km from Highway 1, this is a great access point to explore the southern part of the island - 20mins from Sooke, 15 mins from Mill Bay, 20 mins from Cowichan Valley, 50 mins from Nanaimo.
There is a dishwasher and in suite washer/dryer for your convenience - we will provide laundry and dish soap to ensure the soap is eco-friendly (we are on a septic system and we cherish our deliciously clean well water).

Wonderful place! It's the little things for me like guide lights in the hallway, and a kitchen equip with all the things you would need. Everything was lovely and I would love to return.

This suite was the perfect nature getaway for us! We especially loved the proximity to Goldstream Provincial Park and the beautiful walking and hiking trails amongst the cedar trees. The location was great for our visit to see family in Langford, and an easy drive to the sights and restaurants of downtown Victoria. The 1 km section of road from the highway to the suite was narrow and curvy but paved and we never had an issue. The suite was spacious with a nice deck, comfy beds, and well stocked with everything we needed. Kristen and Rudi were excellent hosts, friendly and responsive.

An absolutely magical week spent in the mountains. Perfect location for a relaxing getaway in nature Kristen was lovely and so accommodating and so helpful. We absolutely loved the hummingbird feeder! All the little details were so appreciated. The location is stunning and close enough to Victoria to have a nature getaway and a city experience absolutely perfect I cannot wait to go again thanks again. Kristen for everything.

The road up to this place is steep and winding. Combined with the locals driving habits, makes the smallish parking area a small pain to exit. Owners live on the property. We hardly noticed them. Kristen was quick, (less than 2 minutes), to respond to a text when we needed to find a repair shop for our car. As for the unit itself, it is nicely finished inside despite being an older building. Because it is shaded by lots of trees it is quite dark inside, though there are plenty of windows for natural light. The bedrooms and bathroom are up a full flight of stairs. Overall, we would not hesitate to stay again.
