About this apartment rental
Ma'alaea Surf, Unit D10 is a townhouse unit on the second floor which offers our guest total privacy and is located directly on the beach. This town house unit has the bedroom and a bathroom in the upstairs loft; there is also a bathroom on the main floor. This unit is very well equipped. It features everything including central AC, Wi-Fi, TV, fully furnished kitchen, two outdoor pools, tennis and pickleball courts, convenient parking, BBQ areas and washer/dryers onsite.
Enjoy ocean front outdoor living on your spacious private patio (lanai) while watching Maui's breath-taking sunsets. The beautiful beaches fronting the property offers not only spectacular views but also outstanding swimming, snorkeling and kayaking and are perfect for leisurely walks or jogging. The maximum occupancy allowed in this unit is 4. All units at Maalaea Surf are non-smoking.
Our property is NOT impacted by the recent news regarding potential short-term rental (STR) restrictions in Maui. Because we are zoned as a hotel property, we are exempt from the County of Maui's proposed STR regulations.

Ma’alaea Surf is a wonderful facility and great location if you enjoy the beach. Unfortunately we were there after a flood so the property was not at its best, but we still enjoyed our stay. There are many restaurants and shops close by which was very convenient. The condo had a lovely view. Wish there had been a couple boogie boards. 😊

We had originally booked through VRBO to stay in another unit. However, due to on for seen circumstances, we were required to move into this unit. It was the only one available. The unit is in desperate need of an upgrade, as it is clearly original. The loft is the only option for where you can sleep, and this is problematic as The air conditioning unit is extremely loud; and its location is directly under the bed. It was loud enough that it was too difficult to sleep with the air conditioning unit on. It was equipped with minor beach equipment, not enough equipment for more than one guest. The Beach front view is absolutely beautiful; So if that is all you are interested in booking for, and you are not worried about the a statics or comfortability of the unit, then this would be a fine and suitable unit to book. The previous reviews (as to asthetics etc) on this unit are also accurate. Somewhat strange artwork: furniture with old throws to cover stains etc. The property manager Ryan as well as the residential manager Josie were very efficient and helpful in solving whatever issues they could. The complex is beautifully maintained, has a wonderful landscape and a very nice ambiance. Life size shuffleboard was fun! we enjoyed the location very much. It is at the far end of kihei, so, you’ll need a car to get around
