Excellent little gem of a property

Great accommodation, quirky and modern. Excellent breakfast, lovely staff, comfy beds, great view of the mountains, easy booking and good information from host before arrival. Would highly recommend

Only gripe was the pillows were too flat. Could have done with another pillow but the bed itself is really comfy.

We had a great stay. The owner is friendly and welcoming, breakfast was tasty and the room is comfortable. The property is in a nice setting with views of the nearby mountains. Would definitely come again.

the breakfast was very nice, lots of variety to choose from. very friendly staff in the kitchen in the morning, to help with our breakfast , making a perfect boiled egg for us very cute glass jars and carry trays

The feather duvets are nice , but too hot in the summer, makes for a sweaty and sweltering night A small fridge in the bedrooms would be great, cause it was warm and we had cheese and meat and beers to keep cold and it was hard to keep it fresh

I got the most 'family vibes' from this hotel. The host was very friendly and it feels more like a home than a hotel. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of fresh options to choose from and has indoor and outdoor seating areas. The city center was within walking distance and we spent several hours exploring and eating before arriving back. Parking was free in a lot down the way.

It's a very old building so every stair, step, door, and window creaks. It's to be expected, but I feel like everyone in the entire house can hear my footsteps.

A wonderfully clean, kind, and cozy stay!

The owner and his wife are incredibly kind and helpful. They go out of their way to make your stay smooth and try to help in any way they can. His English is limited, so he may ask his wife to help translate at times, but the language barrier wasn't too bad. The house is super clean, and they ask you take your shoes off at the door to keep the house clean. Our room had an attached full bathroom on the third floor, but there was also an additional water closet on the floor. Breakfast was included in the price. Breads, fruits, sausages, cheeses and soft boiled eggs are available. Juice, tee, and coffee are also included. The fridge on the main floor has pitchers of water free of charge you can take up to your room, and large beers can be taken at your leisure for 2/3 dollars each. You simply write your name and the number of beers your purchased on the board and then pay at check-out. The mail floor also has a sitting room with several seating areas to eat breakfast or convene with those you are traveling with. The hotel/house is a ten minute walk from the town center so noise levels are minimal, but the distance is convenient enough that you don't need to drive. There are mountain views from all angles and there is on-sight parking. The number of "spaces" is limited though. There is also free wifi. I highly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful place near the centre of Oberstdorf

Very nice guest house a few minutes walk to all Oberstdorf attractions. The owners are super friendly and provide all information about local activities. The breakfast is also very good, enough until the evening meal.

Extremely helpful staff (in spite of the language barrier) - thank you very much, Martin! An exceptional wooden facility (with characteristic odor!) that reminded us of our country house long ago. Outdoor sitting places with nice sheepskin covers. Excellent self-service buffet, reasonable vegan choice. Free hot water (kettle) 24 hours. A lovely Labrador dog that does not enter rooms (I have a strong allergy to pets but felt nothing).

The emails I received were in German, and I got no answer to my further inquiries. Ultimately everything went smooth, but this lack of communication caused me to be somewhat anxious on the day of arrival. The placing of power sockets in the room was not very comfortable.

Perfect little bolthole in Oberstdorf

Great location - peaceful yet easy walk to town, cable car and train station. Cosy, warm and quintessentially Alpine. Lovely view of the mountains from my room. Owner was friendly and helpful. Good price.

Located outside of the busy central area. Delightful chalet style guest house, lovely host. Buffet breakfast was good, although a different style of "delivery".

The staff, host and their behaviour with guests, breakfast, location.

Dach Room, half a room is gone. Bathroom is dark and without tiles looks uncomfortable for me. The price for the room felt high. The cupboard has not well finished edges, my kid felldown in the room and chipped wood edge from cupboard pierced palm and made a wound. Felt bad :( 120 euro was bit high for that room.
