    The best thing about this resort is its location. It needs improvement in food and amenities. We booked half-board for 2 nights (Fri-Sun). We got buffet breakfast on 1st day - it was decent but limited choices when compared to a 5*. But no complaints. On 2nd day we got fixed menu breakfast. We are family of four. 2 adults + 2 kids (9 and 3 years old). We were given a choice of only two breakfast for adults. For the kids they offered only eggs (omelet etc) or cereal, that's it. We were really disappointed especially for our 9 year old daughter. This certainly was not clear to us while booking on Agoda, and we've never seen such service before from a 5* resort. When we asked, the staff replied curtly that this was the 'law' (he actually meant 'rule') and there was nothing they could do about it. I lost my appetite and decided to skip breakfast and let my kid enjoy the adult breakfast. The staff saw this but it made no difference. We asked to give us take-away containers for whatever the kids couldn't finish. Dinner for both nights was also fixed menu. No buffet. And it was very limited. You can either choose soup or salad (not both), one main course and one desert. On 1st night we complained about the limited options. We were asked to meet the manager. The manager was very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant staff then became a bit flexible on the 1st night and surprisingly quite flexible on the 2nd night. On 2nd night, they even offered choice from their a-la-carte menu and cold-drinks! The food presentation and taste both were excellent. We got delayed to reach the restaurant by 15 min and as their chef's duty ends at 9:30 pm (again a surprise to us for a 5* resort), the staff got the soup, salad and main course all together! Thankfully we didn't order any desert (except ice-cream) or they would have served it together with the main course! Anyway, we were still happy and content as the staff was very accommodating on the 2nd night. Somehow for reasons we can never understand, the breakfast next morning was a disaster as mentioned earlier. The attitude of the staff changed completely from previous night. We feel the resort needs repair as well - The awning shades of all the rooms as well as the breakfast courtyard are completely broken. There was some repair work happening on it on the day we checked out. Also saw some re-painting works on exterior walls. The main swimming pool water was not temp controlled and not clean (many dead insects floating). The jacuzzi was temp controlled and clean. The housekeeping staff was super helpful and humble. The resort really has a lot of opportunity to improve in their service especially given its excellent location. Until they we think it is comparable to a 3*
