We had a wonderful stay at this camp! Everything was just as described in the listing—photos were accurate, directions were clear, and communication with the hosts was excellent. The living space is spacious, and the wraparound porch quickly became a favorite spot for our family to gather. We enjoyed four generations spending quality time together here, which made it extra special. The hill down to the water is a bit steep, so that’s something to keep in mind for older guests, but once you’re there it’s well worth it. The beds were comfortable (though doubles, so a little cozy) and all linens were provided. We loved the character throughout the home, from the shelves of old books to each uniquely decorated bedroom. The fireplace was a bonus as it was cool a couple of evenings. Washer & dryer & dishwasher onsite. Recommend bringing supplies as most stores are about 30 min at least away. Which was awesome. We felt like we were in our own removed world. The night sky was breathtaking, and sitting outside under the stars was unforgettable. Overall, it was a delightful stay and we would return again in a heartbeat!

3 generations enjoyed being together some for the whole 2 weeks some for just a few days.We enjoyed the screened in porch the fire pit we barbecued.Especially the pond we swam, paddle boarded, Kayaked and canoedEspecially enjoyed listening to the loons and the frogs kids caught some and let them go. Knew this year were the beaver we noticed the beaver lodge and were able to catch them swimming back and forth in the evening.Boys enjoyed fishing.House was big enough to spread out. Was sad our vacation was over.Would love to see the equipment to use on the pond upgraded as paddle boats and row boat aren’t in very good shape. We bring our own but for people coming from out of state some kayaks or paddle boards might make there stay more enjoyable as you can’t swim until you go out beyond the lily pads. The canoe is fine and my son did use it.Look forward to returning to Shagg pond.

We rented Camp Mollocket for the week with a group of 12 and 2 dogs. The house is a throwback to the Maine camps of the 60s and 70s, and the decor, books, and even some of the furniture transported us back to a simpler time-one thankfully without Internet. There is even a rotary phone! The many bedrooms gave the teens and parents privacy, and the “family room” accommodated the younger kids who wanted to sleep together. The house has plenty of room for folks to spread out, the porch being the ideal hangout spot. While it doesn’t have a wide open vista overlooking the pond, you can catch the glittering waters through the trees and hear the loons calling to each other. Pure magic. The pond is small but very clean and teeming with life—we spotted frogs upon frogs, fish, the aforementioned loons, tons of dragonflies, and thankfully, hardly a mosquito or deer fly. There are two bathrooms, one of which is tucked off the side of the porch and took us a few minutes to find, and the showers run hot. The kitchen, while small, fit all our food for the week. There are two small Charcoal grills—a gas grill would be an amazing upgrade but the charcoal fit with the rustic vibe. Shagg Pond is right next to some great hiking trails, including ones in the gem Little Concord State Park, and our party had a blast hiking, mountain biking, and exploring the area. I would absolutely recommend this place for those looking for a real “camp” experience, and for those who want to really, truly unplug. No internet and spotty cell phone service gave all of us a much needed break from social media, our work emails, and the news. Overall, a fantastic experience.
