About this house rental
We rent weekly, FRIDAY TO FRIDAY, starting on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and during Memorial Day week through Labor Day weekend and Labor Day week. Rates dramatically drop after Labor Day and the minimum stay is reduced to 3 days and the Friday to Friday, 7 day minimum requirement is no longer in effect after Labor Day until Memorial Day of the following year.
Perfectly located semi-ocean front vacation home, only 250 feet to beach observation deck and crossover. This home is set up with amenities for families and is a single level with no steps to climb. Home sleeps a total of 6 people, two in master bedroom with king bed, two in a second bedroom with queen bed, and two in a twin bunk bed with double trundle bed. Master bedroom has a private full bath and an additional full bath is located off the main hallway. DirectTV is provided with premium stations including HBO, Cinemax, and Starz as well as local stations. Televisions are located in two bedrooms, and in the living room. The living room TV is a Smart TV and provides for streaming. Internet and WiFi service are also provided. Kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, utensils, dishes, flatware, small appliances, dish washer, refrigerator w/ ice maker, and electric stove. The dining table seats eight and the kitchen counter seats an additional four people. A charcoal grill is provided for outside cooking. Back porch has ample seating and is screened. There is an enclosed garage and an outside shower.
Check-In time is 4:00 PM on the Friday of arrival. Check-Out time is 10:00 AM on the Friday of departure. GUESTS MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN LINENS AND TOWELS. Several rental companies in the area will rent linens and towels. Owner will e-mail guests the security code for the front door's electronic lock one week before arrival.

TVs were not user friendly. Each had different channel availability. Kitchen had too many pots,pans,etc. Difficult to find stuff. On the other hand, it was very well equipped. Appreciated the nice washer dryer and soap. Bathrooms were very nice.Great for 2 people!

We have been staring here for 14 years now and have so many priceless family memories here. It is all about the proximity to beach access in a nice cozy house. The homeowners are always responsive and we highly recommend.

This review was written during the off-season over Thanksgiving 2024.
This property is very convenient to the beach. Just a 2- to 3-minute walk, and you're there! This helped a lot since there wasn't any major road to cross, just one less traveled road.
The home needs upgrades:
The "Welcome" mat at the door was worn out and tired.
The bunkbed squeaked with every movement, so our son needed to sleep on the sofa.
The kitchen needed a few more items to make it more usable. The electric stove was slow to heat.
The furniture and decor in some of the rooms were outdated.
The thermostat was set at 70 degrees. At night the HVAC couldn't keep up heating the home and when we woke up in the mornings it was cool in the house. Once the temp. outdoors warmed, so did the house.
There were sand spurs in the carpet that we kept stepping on which did not feel good!
Overall, the home would be ok to stay at if you're on a budget, especially if you have a young family. Communication with the owner was very good.
