Ocean's Reach is located in a fabulous private setting right on the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy spectacular views from this beautiful direct gulf front one bedroom, one bathroom condo--only 50 feet from the beach. One of the best appointed one bedroom condos on Sanibel Island. Unit 2x2 boasts a totally new interior from floor to ceiling with many new furnishings, fixtures and accessories. With its king size master suite and queen size sleeper sofa, this tastefully-decorated condo easily accommodates two to four people.
Sanibel Island is known for great shelling, miles of trails for biking, and unobstructed beaches for walking. The shallow water allows for gentle swimming in the Gulf of Mexico, and the lush tropical vegetation adds to the experience of visiting the island. Enjoy casual island living in this friendly, small-town atmosphere. Strict zoning ensures limited commercial zones and no building is higher than four stories.
Come and enjoy a quiet, relaxing experience with great beaches, pools, restaurants, picnic areas and parks. Once you have experienced Sanibel Island there are few people that don't return. Just a lovely location! We spent every morning on the beach gathering shells - it's right out the back door. The location was a double-edged sword, however - right over the pool, so relaxation was pretty elusive when lots of kids were in the pool, but the lanai is lovely. The location is great - easy to everything, like food/shopping/activities. We appreciated the chairs and beach umbrella that we were able to use from the owner's storage closet - that made our sunset watching so easy.A couple of warnings: the bathroom sink drained extremely slowly but we told the management office about it, so we believe it won't be an ongoing issue. We also discovered that the washing machine was unable(?) to use cold water. I tried every setting but it ended up washing in hot water every time. That could be problematic with some fabrics... I wasn't very happy about that. The kitchen is extremely small - only 1 person at a time, but we managed. Finally, the bed was pretty soft, which wasn't to our liking, but could be fine for others.

This was our first stay at Ocean’s Reach. The last 12 years we have stayed at another condo complex but it was hard to get a unit with a view of the beach. Oceans Reach did not disappoint! It is well kept and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The condos are all a little different- so look them over for style and kitchen design. I loved having the washer and dryer in the unit and not a laundry facility. Bike rental was easy and we rented for the week. Our condo was nicely furnished, although the bedroom furniture was a bit large and made the bedroom “tight”. Other condos probably differ in that aspect. The covered parking is a big big plus.We rented a beach umbrella as the unit did not come with one. The chairs are plentiful (all beach type that do not lay out and recline). I plan to rent steamer chairs and an umbrella when returning. I recommend Oceans Reach for its small size, amenities and the fantastic views!
