We had an incredible stay at this beautiful property in Northfield. We were in town visiting family, and this home gave us the perfect balance—allowing us to spend quality time together while still having our own peaceful retreat without imposing on anyone. From the moment we walked in, it truly felt like a home away from home. The open, spacious layout made it easy to relax, and the thoughtful touches—especially the breakfast items—made us feel genuinely welcomed. Each morning was something special. Waking up to the calming sounds of birds and watching the sun peek over the tree-covered mountains created a peaceful, almost zen-like start to the day that we won’t forget. The details throughout the home really stood out. The towels and water pressure felt like something you’d expect from a high-end spa, adding a touch of luxury to the entire experience. The dining and living areas were so comfortable that we often found ourselves wishing we had booked a longer stay. The property itself is just as impressive. Having access to such a large acreage gave us a sense of adventure right outside the front door. One of the highlights was meeting the “neighbors”—a pair of friendly oxen who came trotting over to greet us during a walk, which made the experience even more unique and memorable. This place offers a rare combination of comfort, peace, and a connection to nature. We’re incredibly grateful for our time here and would absolutely love to return.

We stayed at Hannah and Ray's home and had a fantastic time. The welcoming touches were so thoughtful. Every detail was perfect but the misty sunrises over the trees were our favorite. The property is gorgeous and the home is comfortable. We will definitely be telling friends and family to book here in the future!

A beautiful stay in the woods in an immaculate sunny apartment. The oxen were awesome and the maple sugar house quite an operation. The property also boasts a beaver pond with dams and all. A beautiful stay any season of the year. Hannah was most helpful and friendly. It was special being greeted with a bottle of wine pancake mix maple sugar made on the property snd a refrigerator filled with butter milk snd orange juice. The apartment is quiet and the o my sounds are from the breezes gently blowing

The property had main residence home plus the guest house above the carriage house . It couldn’t have been a more perfect place to stay for our all too short visit in Vermont. Hannah was a wonderful hostess and provided us with all the fixing for breakfast. There are oxen on the property which we made time to visit which added to a wonderful stay. Mountain View’s in the daytime and brilliant star gazing at night made it perfect place for us to stay.
