Apartment and building are modern, clean, comfortable, well equipped, secure.
Access to the rocky north end of Langosta beach is a quarter mile (10 minute walk) away.
The 7th floor 2-level gym has 2 treadmills and an elliptical on the 2nd level facing a window with an ocean view and air conditioning. The lower level has some strength training equipment. It was clean and disinfectant spray and paper towels were available.
The apartment is deceptively advertised as ocean view, but the north facing balconies only offered small glimpses of the ocean in the distance (the building is 1/4 mile inland) over the treetops to the west.
AC is only in the bedrooms, not the living room and kitchen, and Costa Rica is steamy hot.
Lots of noise from traffic and people starting in the early AM into the night. Very little in the way of shopping, or restaurants close by. Daytime heat and humidity make the minimum 1km walk to the nearest grocery store very unpleasant. One must drive through crowded, congested Tamarindo to get to any other shopping, better grocery stores and to get in and out of the area.
Bugs: Apartment is on the 5th floor but the main bathroom floor always had a few tiny ants crawling about and one night my wife was terrified by a huge water bug (roach about 2 inches long) in the main bathroom sink. Apparently this is not unusual, as the apartment stocks roach spray which I used and found the bug dying some time later on the bathroom floor.

it was Wonderful! 10 out of 10 for the property and the host. The property was nicely decorated and the furniture was very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. Easy walks to the beach and to town, (we do walk a lot). We are birders and found many places to walk around right by the condo. Covered parking was a plus and the pools and work out rooms were used extensively. Best of all was the balcony. It overlooked the area and the water. Very roomy and we spent most of our time out there whenever we were not out walking or swimming. Everything in the condo worked great, it was quiet and private. If we were to come back to the area we would try to stay here again.

We had a great time on our trip and Jon’s place fit our needs well! We appreciated being able to walk to all the restaurants and shops while staying in a quieter area. Jon helped arrange a golf cart rental which really added to the convenience. Jon was also very quick to answer any of my questions.

This property is in an excellent location close enough to everything but far enough that you didn’t hear all the noise. The condo is very well stocked with everything you may need and the beds are very comfortable. The only downside for us was that we were not able to utilize the balcony as much as we would have liked due to the wind. We had a coffee and a pair of eye glasses blown off the balcony!! We would definitely consider staying there again
