Villa Simondium

I consider myself a well travelled person and I am very particular and fussy about where I stay but I have the say Villa Simondium is a cut above the rest... Second time staying here - I really wanted to return and experience it again as it is such an amazing place to stay - the house is absolutely stunning, nestled on a private estate on the road into Franschhoek with the backdrop of a beautiful equestrian centre.. (I loved watching the horses every morning) . It is peaceful, very secure with beautiful views, a lovely pool and an amazing private garden with all the amenities that you could need .. braii, plenty of outdoor seating etc. . The house itself is like something out of "House and Gardens" and has quite a French feel about it. The kitchen is a chef's dream, the beds are comfy and its super clean... lots of hot water and no load shedding that we experienced. it really is a traveller's dream. Host communicates well and left a very lovely (and probably very expensive) Babylonstoren hamper... if I could give this property a 12/10 I would... again I hope to return in the future.. my friends who stayed with me this time just couldn't believe how amazing it was.. Thanks again Izak for the lovely stay.
