About this cottage rental
Our reviews speak for themselves.... so, ESCAPE from it all.... wooded retreat.... PRIVATE,SECLUDED, yet convenient, nestled on 53 + acres of natural woods.
Approximately 10 miles to Tryon International Equestrian Center, 3 miles to Foothills Equestrian Nature Center, (FENCE), under 6 miles to Harmon Field, Tryon NC, & less than 2 miles to Town and restaurants.
Pet friendly Cottage, comfy and serene. 1 Bedroom (Queen Bed), Living Room w/ full sleeper sofa, roll out twin cot, air mattress, & wood burning fireplace. Sleeps 5. Fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and deck overlooking the woods, charcoal grill and ample parking, including a 1 car, carport. Our only caveat is that there is no wifi, and limited t.v. channels, making this truly a peaceful and unplugged experience. If you must connect, cell phones get service.
Please know that we are a small hobby working farm, which brings with it the sounds of animals, and on occasion there is a chorus of background honks, crows and squabbles. We can on occasion offer fresh organic eggs and honey.

What a wonderful and wonderfully relaxing stay. We loved the floor to ceiling windows providing a peaceful view of the woods, and the bed is the most comfortable we have experienced. Thank you, Shelley! You are a fantastic host.

My husband and my teen student/apprentice stayed at Shelley's cottage for the weekend when we were in town for a horse show at TIEC. It was great, not too far from the horse park, and Shelley was very clear with instructions. The cottage was lovely and very accomodating for my dog!

Everything was great no problems. A stormWas coming and the host came to the house and secured outside items and reviewed what to expect if power was lost and what steps to take incase of an outage. That was over and above. We told my family which lives close by how great it was and told them if family came to visit to recommend this location less than 4 miles to their house.
