About this cabin rental
A quaint one bedroom, one bath cabin with a private porch in the back. The porch is a great place to start the day, watching the deer play and enjoying the beautiful views. After a day of sightseeing, the porch also provides a wonderful private place to end the day, enjoying a drink or barbecuing a delicious meal.
The cabin sleeps up to 4. The bedroom has a queen bed and the living room has a double futon sofa. The unit has a stove and oven. There is a kitchen table, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, sink, private outside BBQ with a side burner and a shared outside counter-top oven and griddle. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware, plates, pans and utensils for cooking if you want to cook in instead of eating out.
The unit has heat and air conditioning, free internet, and satellite TV. We provide bed linens, towels, and kitchen utensils. The rooms are cleaned when you check out and a one-time cleaning fee is charged. If you need additional towels or bed linens during your stay, just let us know.

This place was fantastic for my wife and me. Absolutely immaculate and had everything we needed for the 3 nights we were there. Some places build a little platform and say they have outdoor space. This place has a legit back porch. A really nice gas grill and a couple of rocking chairs on one side, a large open space and then a couple chairs and a fire table on the other side. The most peaceful and scenic setting you can ask for. Mount Rushmore was about a 25-minute drive. Crazy Horse was about 45. Combined, 70 minutes of the most beautiful scenery you can drive through. We would definitely stay here again.

It took a couple days to adjust to the change in view from our favorite spot on the back porch, not to mention the sounds of construction on Christmas Eve as the monstrosity of a home being built against the mesa continued. Our favorite spot at the Getaway is now much different as the peaceful seclusion we once experienced is now property tainted by money.
