Aurora - Lissabon Altstadt

One can sense the devotion with which this simple studio has been renovated, in style - combining the old azulejos and wooden floor with modern vintage furniture and accessories from other origins, and in practical conveniences - two ways for brewing coffee; a toaster; micro-wave... The location is splendid: close by the Tejo river in the Alfama district (with river view!), and not more than a few minutes' walk from the train and metro station. We received a warm and helpful welcome from Rodrigo, who remained easily approachable for any questions during our stay.

I love old stuff but that does not include beds - we found the mattress showed the weight of all the people who were there before us. Also the rate was too steep for us to stay longer than two days - we paid 140 euros per night for what remains a very small studio.

Good location between waterfront and central main street of the quarter. Nice view to the water from the (small) balcony!

A bit more wardrobe would be perfect, but for two people it should be all manageable.

I have stayed for 3 weeks and I found this place perfect. Owners are kind, the apartment was very clean, the position is very good (10 minutes from Praça do Comércio and close by Alfama that is my favorite neighborhood in Lisbon). All the essential stuff are provided, in the kitchen there is almost everything. I also really liked the design of the apartment and the view from the small balcony!
