About this house rental
Experience the mountains in a Round house among the trees. Ideal Montreat location. Directly across the street from the tennis courts, the playground, the Youth Center (pool, foosball, ping pong in summe ) and Flat Creek. Only steps away from Conference Center. The NEW decks offer perfect outdoor living. Including a new large screened porch with room for dining or relax and enjoy the mountain view while listening to the sounds of the mountain creek across the street. Spend your days on the scenic nearby Blue Ridge Parkway, exploring the endless hiking trails of Montreat or at the charming shops and cafes of Black Mountain. It’s a 5-minute drive to the wonderful shops and cafes in Black Mountain and a 15-minute drive to downtown Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Biltmore House.
The upper level boasts a large master bedroom with a king bed, a twin bed, a Smart tv, and an attached full bath. Plus, a Great room with large Smart TV, wood-beamed ceiling, a fireplace, game area, dining area, and NEWLY RENOVATED kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and all the cookware you will need. Downstairs has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a triple bunk bed and a shared full bathroom. Both bedrooms have Smart TVs. Parking for two vehicles. The four flatscreen Smart TVs include Hulu Live for local channels, movies, and Hulu shows and access to Netflix, Amazon, etc. Rental also has a Wii game console, WiFi, washer, dryer, air-conditioner, and heat. From parking, there is a small incline to access the steps to the lower deck and then about 15 steps to the first deck/screened porch. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a laundry room are on this level. Then about 10 inside steps to the second/main level. Or you can take the outside steps to the main level. For security when no one is staying at the cabin, there are two security cameras that face the parking lot ONLY. They are monitored when renters are not there.

Beautiful house clearly well taken care of. Appreciated the little details like lots of hand towels, hair dryers, spices in the kitchen. Sometimes in a rental you think I wish they had “X” but here everything was provided (coat hangers, laundry basket, etc.) Walkable to the Assembly Inn, playground, and other Montreat facilities. Host was very responsive.

Perfect fall getaway for my husband and I, our two small children, and my parents. Very peaceful and quiet, but easy to walk to the playground, tennis courts, etc.

First off, this property was lovely and the owner was very communicative. It was a great retreat and convenient to lots of activities. The playground and creek nearby were lovely. That said, we have an 8-month-old and a 3-year-old and we really struggled with the temperatures and layout. It was hard to keep it warm enough for our littles ones and difficult to get up and down the stairs. I would absolutely recommend this property and I think we'd return in a couple years. But if you have kids under ~5 or so, this may not be right for you.
