Peaceful Paradiso in Marine Terrace-Spring Special

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was just OK. Which is a shame because it is evident that with a little thought and a small investment the owner could elevate their guest's stay from mediocre to excellent. Please be aware - there are tile steps leading into and out of the master bath shower which are unsafe for elderly people. The only other shower is a tub shower downstairs which is difficult/unsafe for an elderly person to get into and out of. The house needs - new comfortable beds and bedding in all three downstairs bedrooms; fresh paint throughout; the downstairs water closet toilet seat was gross and needs replaced; the back yard looks like a wonderful space but was dirty and unkept so was not usable; there was a light sconce missing in the downstairs bathroom, the bathroom rugs are too thick and have to be moved out of the way to close the door then replaced after opening the door; the automatic lights in the downstairs hallway became annoying. Please forgive me I don't mean to criticize too harshly. The location and view from the living area were wonderful. I was disappointed knowing that with a little thought and effort on the owner's part the house could be really nice instead of just ok

The location of this property right next to an open space was perfection. We saw families of deer crossing the field and coming towards the house while eating breakfast, viewing the ocean from all the windows in the main living room area wasn't too shabby either. Kitchen was pretty well appointed, the DVD and VHS collection were pretty fun to go through and gave us something to watch when it rained one morning. If anything could be improved, it would be to make the third bedroom downstairs feel more put together. One room looked more like an office/storage closet. The multiple sets of keys and garage opener were great. Check in and check out went smoothly, it was only a minor inconvenience to go to a separate place to pick them up.

Beautiful location, inside very clean, well supplied kitchen, Culligan water system & being able to park in the garage a nice perk. Easy walking distance to beautiful hiking trails. The outside decks were not cleaned recently, had to clean the decks & chairs so could sit outside & read. Need to update outside amenities. Their are things listed or shown in picture that are no longer there or useable. We had a very pleasant & enjoyable stay.

The view brings us back again and again. The owners were very responsive when the microwave gave out. We love this place. Be aware they request no shoes inside due to wood floors… a bench by the door might be helpful for putting on shoes. But the house is perfect for adults and guests, private space is great! A winner.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with everything stated in the September 2022 review by Lisa. Such a great location but the house needs some TLC especially on the lower level bedrooms. I’ve notified the property manager with my concerns but I still think I need to give future renters a heads up. There are better homes for less money to rent in Cambria. I will not be returning to this home.
