Kay Apartments Isla Mujeres

I had a very lovely time in my Apartment 5 of Kay Apartments. The Inn Keeper (KC) was very helpful and kind and made sure I had everything in good order. The location is peaceful and the roof top terrace offers great views of sunrise and sunset. It was very comfortable!

Kay apartments are located in a very residential part of the island near the south end. It was quiet and very authentic. I loved the apartment and while the roof top area did not match the pictures with the furniture, we spent every night playing cards or just sitting and having a cocktail there. Getting a cab is a bit of a challenge but if you make friends with a driver they are all so friendly and you can call or text for a ride. The host was very responsive to any requests I had but there weren't many because the apartment was great! The bed was soooo comfortable.

I wish there had been more hooks or a rod to hang clothes and the deck outside the room was unusable because the pigeons had taken over but like I said the roof top made up for that.

The location was a bit far from downtown but I liked how quiet and authentic it was.

More hooks or places to hang clothing and more dishes/pots and pans in the kitchen. But I was able to make due.

There was water provided, which was much appreciated. The local area was cool with beautiful bright buildings and some fun eateries. The kitchen was well equipped and Erika found us some beach towels when we thought they were all out.

The owner was responsive but not overly helpful or informative in their replies. We had a ground floor apartment which was overlooked by other guests when entering and leaving and the interior was quite dark.
