This Old House is located in the heart of the Sophienburg Hill Historic District and within walking distance to all downtown restaurants, night spots, farmers market and Wurstfest. It is 1 mile from Schlitterbahn and 2 miles to Landa Park (golf course). Located less than a mile from I-35 you have easy access to San Antonio and the San Marcos/Austin area. This home would be great for couples or individuals. Built in 1869 and renovated to include modern amenities, this house combines historic charm and comfortable living. The Boenig/Maurer house was once an old dairy farm. It has 800 sq. Ft with 10 ft ceilings in 2 of the rooms. Come relax and enjoy the city of New Braunfels. A 30-night minimum is required.

Our hosts were very welcoming and considerate towards us and our needs.The cottage was very comfortable with its antique furniture and wood floors. We enjoyed the weather, having the screen doors open and sitting out on the two porches watching the many deer.The neighborhood was full of beautiful old homes and off main streets of traffic. The trains passing were heard, but not noisy.The cottage was supplied with all things necessary.WE LOVED IT! and would love to return.
