Welcome to our little part of the world. In a well hidden and protected spot in the center of South Carolina Coastal Low Country, rests Edisto Island. Edisto is rich in history, wildlife, and natural beauty while maintaining a strong position to resist change that is not beneficial to our community. The absence of noise, traffic lights, congestion, and commercialism appeals to residents and visitors alike. A visit to Edisto is certain to win your approval provided you enjoy a laid back and relaxed lifestyle.
A trip from Edisto Beach to downtown Charleston will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
When you stay at The Plantation Villas, the beautiful Golf Course, Pro Shop, Putting Green and 1st Tee are all in your view.
A round of golf on the beautiful Plantation Course and a visit to The Plantation Pro Shop is a must for every guest. For shopping, or just browsing, you’ll have fun and enjoy a nice selection of Ladies and Men’s apparel, gifts and accessories.
The Plantation Course was originally opened in 1974 with Sam Snead hitting the first shot on the course which was then named Oristo. A complete renovation was finished in 2006 giving the course a new look and a commitment for year round conditioning.
Nestled among giant live oaks, magnolias and towering palms, it’s sure to challenge golf enthusiast from all skill levels. Accuracy plays a greater premium than distance on the Par 70... 6,130 yard layout. You must try not to be distracted by the abundant wildlife that adds beauty to the course. If you enjoy Edisto and the South Carolina Low Country, you are certain to agree that The Plantation Course provides a golfing experience as it was meant to be.

The cost of the ‘Pass’ varies from year to year and is not part of your Villa Rental Fee with us. For more information please call Wyndham’s Recreation Center.

Large property (there were 8 of us and it was perfect). It was great to have bathrooms for every guest room. There’s a television in each room to accommodate all visitors. Two porches to enjoy the weather. Great choice for a large family gathering at the beach.

We've stayed in King Cotton 22 twice now. We've been visiting Edisto for over 20 years and have stayed in various locations. We like the layout, location and set-up of King Cotton 22. Also, my brother loved having access to the Blackstone Grill for fish tacos. King Cotton is always very clean, fresh and comfortable. If you have young children, the location is GREAT to walk to the pool, playground and cafe. 5 Stars for a great stay!

we do have a few disappointments. (1) The ice maker did not work. It was slow to make ice from the start, then just stopped completely. No ice for most of the week. (2) Fix front patio door as the latch gets stuck and wont open. Glad we were inside when it happened as it was very hot while there. (3) A few bulbs were out of the light fixtures/lamps.(three over the dining room table alone) (4) Ceiling fan light would not work in one of the two back bedrooms (the right bedroom if facing back of building) (5) The bed linens simply did not look clean. Crisp white sheets and towels with thinner wash cloths and simple, but very clean bedspreads would be preferred (6) Many of the rugs corners were curled up and were tripping hazards (7) Some of the refrigerators door racks (two, I think) were missing decreasing much needed door storage space. (8) the washing machine was a bit too small for a family of four two grandparents, and the folding door was in the way of where you add the detergent, etc. Otherwise, #17 Plantation Villas was a great place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. One word of caution to other renters: Wyndham fell down when it came to its amenities pass so double check before you purchase one. The beach trolley wasnt working, two of the three pools were not open, and the one that was open was mediocre to put it mildly. And they doubled the price over what they quoted us in May. ($280 vs. $140) Our teenage girls were very disappointed as the amenities were a real drawing card for them. However, we found that going to the beach and enjoying fishing and sunsets over on Big Bay Creek were much better , not to mention FREE , alternatives. We also enjoyed J. Peters Restaurant which was directly behind our unit as well as Sea Cow Eatery and Flowers Seafood which has great fresh seafood but also cooked seafood when the food truck is open.Also, if you have never seen Painted Buntings, take the walk to Botany Bays Boneyard Beach. Their colors will amaze you! Thank you, Duane, for all your help in arranging our stay. We will definitely consider a return visit.
