The Bluff House is the perfect vacation home. It has the best of both worlds - it is in a secluded, quiet spot but is within blocks of over a dozen restaurants and a large grocery store. The home has a huge gourmet kitchen and three comfortable bedrooms each with its own private, full bathroom, ideal for three couples or a small family wanting to explore Port Angeles and the Olympic National Park. The panoramic salt water view is incredible and visible from almost every room in the house; both sunrises and sunsets are visible over the water. There is no better view available anywhere in Port Angeles, period. Turn around and there is a view of the Olympic Mountains looming above Port Angeles.
The location of the house is perfect for visitors. It is close to the Olympic National Park, the Discovery Trail and the downtown area of Port Angeles. It is just 4 blocks from the Victoria Ferry, 2 blocks from the Discovery Trail, 1 mile from the entrance to the national park and close to many restaurants and shopping.. Your hosts can help with trail and sightseeing information, and any concerns or questions that may arise when planning your adventures on the Olympic Peninsula. The Bluff House exceeded our all of our expectations! The view was..........BEAUTIFUL any time of the day especially sunrise & sunset. Many AM coffees were had out on the deck enjoying the view. Fun to watch cargo ships travel by or spend time in the port. We had more than enough room for the 5 of us (5 adults). Cindy went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. The coffee pot broke, a new one was delivered in no time. She hand delivered her home made banana bread and even shared the recipe with us. Cindy was very responsive to any and all of our questions prior to our arrival. She also shared detailed info on things to do in the area which we found very helpful. The location of The Bluff House worked out well for us, easy access to hiking in the Olympic National Park. We would highly recommend staying at this beautiful spot!

We rented this for a family wedding. The location and view are top notch. Cindy was a delightful host, the house is perfect for a family, especially those with some mobility issues (walker/cane) as it’s one floor. Plenty of room/bathrooms. The kitchen has pretty much ever you could need. We loved staying here!

My husband and I with our two adult children and their spouses had a fabulous time. We would check out the big ships, find their name on Google, and see where they were going, what they were carrying, Etc. The house was equipped with everything we needed, and there was plenty of gathering space to eat, sleep, laugh, and chat. The deer were amazing. Every day we enjoyed them. Some mornings, I would stay in bed and watch them out the window with my coffee. You won’t be disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay in Cindy’s beautiful home! The view is absolutely breathtaking! Everything was clean and organized. Two nights we walked from downtown back to the house. (About a 10-15 min walk). Cindy was very proactive, kind, and friendly! We felt very welcomed! Her place is a gem! The house is in a great location if you want to take day trips to other neighboring towns or into Olympic National park. There is even a ferry that goes to Victoria, BC! (Takes about 1.5 hours).

We stayed here with our family of three (2 adults and a 12-year old kid). This was truly a magical house. The views out to the Strait of Juan de Fuca are fantastic. We loved spending time in the living room reading, looking at the bald eagles, and talking. We even saw orcas in the bay outside the house. The house was very comfortable. We hiked all over Olympic and it served as an excellent base especially to Hurricane Ridge, Marymere Falls, and more. We had planned to go out in Port Angeles and to the park more, but found we wanted to spend more time in the home looking at the view in the afternoons and evenings! Also the host is super nice and the guide book was very helpful. One of the best VRBOs we've stayed at.

We spent a blissful week here with our three grown children, using Port Angeles as a base to explore Olympic National Park and the surrounding area. This is without a doubt one of the nicest properties we've ever rented: a beautiful, spacious and comfy house with breathtaking, 270-degree views of the water and an outstanding owner who goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck overlooking the water, watching the birds overhead and the boats below, and had our dinners in the same spot, watching a glorious sunset every night. No wonder we didn't want to leave! The three comfy bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, gave our crew plenty of space and privacy. The generous, well-outfitted kitchen and outdoor grill made it easy to prepare outstanding meals at home. Thoughtful touches make this house special: lots of binoculars to observe boats going by, TIVO, hiking poles, a wonderful library of books, sharpened knives, and a beautiful garden, just to give examples. The house is in a quiet spot, well-located, within walking distance to the harbor, shops and restaurants. Cindy was the most accommodating host in the world, sending us suggestions in advance of what to see and do and answering questions all week long to make our experience more enjoyable. She even rushed over first aid supplies when one of us had a minor emergency. We recommend this property highly and hope to return.

We spent 5 gorgeous days here with family, including a child in a wheelchair. The house is bright and lovely, and there is a large deck with a 180-degree view of the spit and the Strait. We had everything we needed, including a big fully-equipped kitchen and an outdoor gas grill. There are one or two small steps to get in, depending on the door you use, and the deck is level with the house. Wheelchair-friendly outdoor excursions include short paved hikes at Hurricane Ridge, the a short hike to Madison Falls on the Elwa, the Spruce Railroad trail at Lake Crescent, and the Moments in Time trail near the Lake Crescent Lodge (some tree roots). The house is also just a few blocks from the Olympic Discovery Trail, which you can get to on a paved trail at the park nearby. I *think,* from looking at in on a prior trip, that the trail at the mouth of the Elwa is largely accessible, but we didn't go there this trip.

We spent an outstanding week at Bluff House. It was perfect for location, space and accommodations. We had considered renting two homes to best see the east and west sides of the peninsula. Instead, we chose just this home and drove from there. It has a great location to reach all points in the northern peninsula. It is close to downtown, with shops, dining and a Safeway store. It is only two blocks from the Waterfront Trail. On days we needed rest, we couldn't ask for a better place to stay. We sat on the deck overlooking the bay and Strait de Fuca, watching cargo ships and the Black Ball Ferry come and go. The sun set beautifully over Port Angeles. Even indoors we watched the rhythm of ship traffic and the fog and weather move through the area. The view from the home is stunning. Two rooms are as nice as master bedrooms; the third is comfortable enough. The kitchen, dining area and living room are open so that family always felt together. The home is well equipped, with the appliances and kitchen tools needed to cook, dine and clean. There are spices and other ingredients; so check the kitchen before going to the store. There is good reading on the shelves, games, and other leisure diversions, including a telescope and binoculars. It felt like a vacation home. All comes with personalized service. I could reach the owner if I had questions, and they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. If we ever return to the region, we will stay at the Bluff House.

Cindy was a friendly, accommodating host, absolutely wonderful. The house is extremely well-appointed (esp the kitchen!). Everything we could possibly need was provided. The views are terrific and we enjoyed seeing all the cargo ships coming and going. A special treat were the deer who came through the yard morning and evening, only feet from our deck. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cindy, her property, and the entire check in-check out process for this stay. The view--OH MY GOSH! You CANNOT beat the amazing view and sunsets. Breathtaking. Cindy is an AMAZING host and was delightful, helpful, and went above and beyond. The house has everything you need for a family stay (we have little kids) and is spacious and centrally located. Washer and dryer a huge plus. Tons of games, interesting books, and plenty of space for our family of 4. We only wish we stayed more days there and fewer in Seattle due to how serene and peaceful it was at Cindy's home. We hope to return!

Our family of five adults enjoyed a magical vacation in Port Angeles and Olympic National Park. The jewel of our stay was The Bluff House. The home is lovely, charming, spacious, clean, comfortable and was well stocked with everything we needed – even things we didn’t know we’d need, like binoculars, plenty of throw blankets, and board games. The view from the windows and the deck is stunning. We spent early mornings and evenings relaxing on the deck and soaking in the beautiful, fascinating, and ever-changing views of Port Angeles Harbor and the Strait of Juan de Luca. We couldn’t get enough of watching the pilot boat, coming and going from Ediz Hook, as it greeted the many ships coming through the strait. One late afternoon we watched two orcas feasting in the harbor for a half hour! We hiked Hurricane Ridge, Hoh National Forest, trails near Crescent Lake, Sol Duc Falls, and several other trials with waterfalls. We explored Ediz Hook, visited Forks, and enjoyed tide-pooling at Rialto Beach. Cindy is a warm and attentive host with a gift for hospitality. She made us feel like we were guests in the home of a good friend. Cindy, thank you for everything! We all hope for a return visit.

This is a terrific place to stay. Cindy the host was easy to communicate. The house has the most amazing views. We didn't think we would pay so much attention to all the ships in he harbor, but we ended up downloading the Marine Traffic App. We also saw 3-4 Eagles fly by. The kitchen is well equipped. We really enjoyed the accessibility to Olympic National Park and Port Angeles was a very enjoyable town to be in.
