Spacious Victorian duplex near MASSMoCA, MCLA (19)

Lovely, clean home. Easy access. Clear communication with hosts. Fun sense of style with interesting art and decor. Very well appointed with linens, kitchen basics (including coffee, tea, spices, olive oil, etc), puzzles and games, extra blankets, lots of books. Bedrooms had available window fans and AC units. Overall it's a really nice place to stay with easy access to North Adams, Williamstown, etc. As we were traveling with elders for graduation weekend, there were a few quirks that made it (only slightly) less than ideal: there is ample parking but no walkway to unit 19 except across uneven ground; there are numerous thresholds and slight changes in the height of floor surfaces; due to delightfully tall ceilings on the first floor, the staircase to upstairs bedrooms is several steps longer than a typical staircase; and the shower in the only full bathroom is a little snug for tall people. For many travelers, these quirks would just add to the charm. I only mention so that renters who choose to stay here can be best prepared to fully enjoy this great spot.

All of us loved the spacious historic house! It was recently remodeled with gleaming oak floors, new kitchen and baths that blended with the old, two original cast-iron fireplaces (nonworking), high ceilings, and tall original windows.
