Enjoy the center of Crested Butte while staying in this small, cute cottage!
Gothic Cottage has everything you will need for your Crested Butte stay -- queen size bed, sofa, dining table, full bath and separate kitchen. The cottage has the best location --It is located in the highly desirable, historic center of town, just two blocks and an easy walk from Elk Avenue and all the town's shops and restaurants. The cottage has convenient off-street parking. An easy 2.5 block walk in one direction to the shuttle stop for downhill skiing, or 2.5 blocks in the opposite direction to jump on the Peanut Lake bike and Nordic trails.
The cottage has a studio layout with a combined bedroom, dining and living area, and a separate full bath and small kitchen. If you are looking for quiet, convenience and comfort at an affordable price, you have found the perfect spot. Note that the cabin is for a maximum of two people and, due to the small size, does not have a washer/dryer or dish washer. The cottage has excellent internet service. A roku box allows you to sign into your subscription services --Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc.

The cottage was comfortable and in a quiet location within walking distance of all of our favorite CB hangouts. We have been visiting this quaint mountain town for many years and found the Gothic Cottage to be one we would return to for a get away. Our hosts were gracious and attentive to our needs.We would recommend this to anyone interested in exploring this historic area.

I knew this was going to be a rustic type stay and we were ok with that. It’s proximity to town was what made me want to book this place. However when we arrived, there was one window with a broken pane and piece that had fallen out. The owner knew about it. It seemed to be a safety issue to us since it was right over the bed. Also, we discovered that only 1 of the 6 windows in the cottage opened. The owner knew this too. The fan provided only circulated the warm air in the cottage. This was a bummer in addition to no shades on the windows. There were only lace curtains which didn’t do much for privacy and early morning light. The cleanliness was disappointing as well. Upon arrival, we found hairs in the bathroom sink, food wrappers and spills in the fridge and utensils that were visibly dirty. The sponge provided smelled rotten and there was food debris at the back of the sink. We avoided use of the kitchen in general. Other dirty issues were spider webs and dead bugs in the peak of the ceiling and odd dirty items under the couch/in couch cushions. I wouldn’t stay here again based on our experience.
