About this house rental

This luxury home is located in the exclusive Painted Rock community of Palisades Tahoe (formally Squaw Valley). The house is a few minutes drive from the base of the Squaw Valley ski area and the Everline Resort and Spa (formally the Resort at Squaw Creek.) The home is located at the end of a private cul-de-sac backing up to open space and is very private. The low elevation affords easy access by car with no steep slippery roads to negotiate. Whether you ski, golf, or mountain bike ride, this location gives you access to all that the Tahoe area has to offer. The home is complete with high-end finishes and quality furnishings and a large private hot tub. This is a private home and is completely stocked.

The home is comfortable for families. Upstairs includes a beautiful kitchen with limestone counter tops and professional appliances. There is a large dining room that will comfortably seat 10 adjacent to the family room with a floor to ceiling granite fireplace and flat screen TV. There are two master suites, a half bath, as well as a large mud room/laundry room on this level. The oversized 2 car garage is heated.

Where to start?! The property is located just 4 minutes from Palisades where we spent every morning skiing. There is a massive fireplace that was exquisite to cozy up next to every evening with a huge couch our family spent cuddled up on. The kitchen was perfect to cook huge family meals. Every room was excellent with comfortable, huge cozy beds with layers upon layers of blankets to stay warm. The bathrooms were fantastic…and the floors throughout the home are HEATED! Luxury! The air hockey table was a hit with our kids and the downstairs backyard entry was perfect for going outdoors to the hot tub and to build a sled run for the kids. I can’t say enough things about this beautiful property. Highly recommend we hope we can stay again. Thank you to the host for sharing!

The most gorgeous and comfortable house! We had the best time. Beds are incredibly comfortable and we LOVED having the gas built in to help start the real fire! My daughter sat by the fire after skiing every day and it was magical. Missy was super responsive and the nicest host. 100% want to stay here again!

The house was absolutely perfect. Beautiful home with high end everything that was decorated such that it seemed out of a Christmas catalog. The home was more than enough space for 4 adults and 2 kids and could have easily hosted more. Shuttle ride to palisades was easy and convenient. Short drive to Tahoe City. I would 100% stay again.

This property is even better than what shows on VRBO. The home has everything you could need and is conveniently located to Tahoe Palisades- with a shuttle service to the mountain whenever needed. Missy was very communicative from the beginning and gave great recommendations for the area. I would definitely stay here again.

I took my husband and our family here to celebrate his 60th birthday. There were 7 adults in the house and it was very spacious and ever so clean!! We cooked most of our meals in the very well appointed kitchen and this included a birthday cake. I was fortunate enough that there was even a cake plate. The rooms are large, the beds are cozy and the air hockey table was so much fun! In addition to all of this, the home is only 5 minutes from the Palisades ski resort (formerly Squaw Valley) and 10 minutes from Tahoe City. We would absolutely stay here again!! This home was fabulous from the outside to the inside. We loved all the cozy nooks for the family to hang out and watch tv, play a board game (they have so many) or just relax in the hot tub after a full day on the slopes! The ski resort was super close by and the shuttle makes it convenient for the coming and going to the resort. The kitchen has everything you could want and the beds were comfy! We loved everything about our stay!

We had a great trip. Every year I take a ski trip with friends and family at various places in US and Canada. This was our first time at palisades. House was amazing! The kitchen was outfitted great and we cooked quite a few meals there. Hot tub was certainly a plus and is always a requirement for us. The shuttle service works like Uber but is free and usually gets to you in 10 - 15 mins (tips appreciated). This was also a great base for us to go to truckee and taho city to see the lake. Overall on of the best places we have stayed in the last few years.

We stayed here with a group of friends to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The house was lovely - great location, clean, well-stocked with basics, and had nice common spaces for entertaining (large dining, living, game room and yard with hot tub). The host, Missy, was a dream to work with. She was friendly, accommodating, responsive, and had a good sense of humor. She sent relevant information in advance, provided activity recommendations, and even offered some flex on the check-in/out times as a courtesy. We enjoyed our stay and experience so much, we are looking to return in the future! Thank you again, Missy!

This is an absolutely wonderful home, perfect for our two families to get away for a long weekend. The location, design, set-up, furnishings, amenities, etc., were all top-notch, high-end, and really quite perfect. It would be a five-star rental based on all of the boxes that get checked off, but this house has something extra: it's not a vacation rental; it's a home that is obviously loved and cared for by its owners. That makes it one of the nicest places we've stayed anywhere, and certainly in Tahoe. We loved staying there and so greatly appreciated Missy and her family for sharing their home with us!

It’s a toss up as to what made our recent New Year’s ski trip to the Lake Tahoe area so amazing…sixteen feet of snow, just days before our arrival, or this fantastic Olympic Valley home! The house was festively decorated for the holidays and worked perfectly for our group whether we were gathering after a day on the slopes, working remotely, or relaxing in the hot tub. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and nicely appointed spaces, plowed drive, and endless supply of firewood!

A very nice house! Location was perfect for skiing close to squaw (5 -10 min drive) and a short distance to Alpine too. The bike path was nearby as well & we could walk to squaw. This house was a perfect fit for our family, just the right size. Everyone had their own space and bathroom. There is air hockey, a favorite with everyone and a hot tub, also very nice. On the first day we had a problem with the dishwasher and we got in touch with the owner who replaced it immediately. She was very responsive to all our questions & needs. The night before our departure I asked everyone if we should rent it again and their response was an enthusiastic yes!

The house was perfect for our big family. The hot tub was wonderful after skiing. Squaw Valley is a 4 minute drive down the street. I really can't say enough good things about the house,. we absolutely loved it and will probably rent again in the future. One suggestion is to bring your own shampoo (which we didn't) and had to run to the store.

We rented this home for a family ski holiday. The entire experience was perfect. Missy was lovely to communicate with, very thoughtful and warm, and the house was exactly as described. Easy to access, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and just a few minutes drive to the lifts. We loved the level driveway and the big fireplace. The home is also located at the end of a cul-de-sac so very low traffic and a safe area for our 4 year old to play in the snow. It was also easy to see how the home would be ideal for a summer vacation. We absolutely look forward to coming back!

Our family completely enjoyed our stay at this home. It is beautiful, well appointed with very nice furnishings, a custom home with many nice touches, great gourmet kitchen, comfortable beds, ample space for everyone to gather and beautiful bedrooms with plenty of room to relax. The neighborhood is beautiful and the back yard is the best part. Our kids enjoyed running around on the beautiful well maintained lawn, we had dinner by fire light on the deck and adult time sitting around the fire table in the evenings. Anything we could possibly need they had. This wasn't a typical rental. The owners clearly love this home and trust renters to take good care of their beautiful home. Well worth the money. Thank you for sharing your home. The house isn't supplied with child products, but there are baby rental places near by that dropped off items for our trip. Worked out great.

I cannot express how much our group of ten enjoyed staying at Missy’s house. Missy was extremely accessible and communicative throughout the process. There is a detailed house guide in the house that answers most questions, but should there be any points of clarification, Missy responded very quickly. The house itself has so many amenities (as noted in the listing; heated floors, boot dryer in the heated garage, speakers all throughout inside and outside the house, exterior heaters on the deck, garbage room right off the garage, mud room off the garage perfect for our ski clothing, exterior bathroom door accessible by the jacuzzi patio, fully stocked kitchen and some basic shower items) and is simply gorgeous. The pictures don’t do the home justice! The house was clearly designed with function in mind, it seems between the design of the house and the added amenities, everything was thought of. Our group has stayed at homes in Whistler, Park City, Beaver Creek, Breckinridge, etc. and this home was our favorite, we did not want to leave and plan to return! The location is also perfect too, we utilized the Mountaineer app (free for use in the valley) to get around as needed if we chose not to drive. We tried Missy’s suggestion, Fire Sign for breakfast in Tahoe City and would highly recommend as well! Thank you again Missy!

Wow, what a wonderful house this was to stay in, did not want to go home. Best location near Squaw by far, excellent in snowy conditions for sure. I would stay here again in a heart beat. House itself was so warm to come into, livable, spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed to feel right at home.
