Very nice spot for three couples to come and unwind. The sunroom provided an excellent view of the lake and the kitchen was spacious and well stocked. There was plenty of room for six adults. The outdoor fire pit was a plus due to cooler weather in October. Location was perfect for a quick grocery run in Jamestown or a short drive to restaurant options. Lisa was courteous and quick to respond. Overall, a nice traditional lake house.

The house was perfect! Everything we needed was readily available and easily accessible! The property is right on the water and has a gorgeous view of the sunrise. The property is also dog friendly which is amazing! We took our dogs and they had a blast and so much was provided for not only the humans but the dogs as well! We definitely plan to come back and stay here again! I highly recommend staying here!!

This is our third time staying at the Castaray House and it was a beautiful week with three generations of family. We all love the great variety of water crafts and the beautiful view from the sunroom. We were thrilled to see a bald eagle fly right over the house and over the lake. It’s always a pleasure to spend our family vacation here!

We had a wonderful time -the house has room for everyone to spread out and lots of activities for everyone.We didn’t need anything-even shampoo was provided .I have never stayed somewhere that had all of our needs covered . It is private and has a great outdoor area to enjoy the lake .We kayaked and paddle boarded and used the pedal boat .We brought a boat used the dock to have it available every day .We fished and had a great family vacation .-loved the coffee bar with the Ninja . We could have explored more of the area but we enjoyed the house and lake so much we only went out to eat once .There is a Walmart about 5 miles away for groceries and gas stations that are close .We had ice cream out and there is a mini golf course nearby. I would recommend this house !

Everything was perfect! There is nothing we needed. We love the sunroom. Our pets love the lake. We loved paddle boarding. Our grandsons don’t want to leave.

We had a relaxing week. We kayaked, grilled kebabs and hamburgers, visited Bemus Point for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the fresh air and all of the house’s amenities. Thank you!

This was one of my favorite rentals EVER! Tons of room for 8 adults and 2 dogs. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you needed. The only word of caution is the property is definitely not the best for anyone with mobility issues. Other than this fact, I couldn’t recommend this property enough!

This is one gem of a property right on the lake with great views from the various patios and sunroom and lower bedroom! The house itself is decorated very tastefully and furniture and beds are comfortable. The owner was very responsive to any questions and our family was grateful they share their home with those who choose to vacation in CHQ.

We had the best time staying at this wonderful cottage! They had everything you would ever need for a wonderful getaway.The fishing was awesome. We had fires every night in the awesome fire pit! Lisa is a wonderful host. If we had a question she answered it within a few minutes! We have stayed a few times and will be looking forward to staying again.

It was the perfect house for our family including our 3 dogs. The property had room for children and pets. The lake was wonderful. The owner provided paddle boat, paddle boards, kayak, and life preservers. The kitchen was well stocked. The open concept gave our family a lot of space. Our favorite room was the sunroom. It was comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake.

We had a great time. The men fished every day except Friday. My son caught a 20 inch walleye and grilled it for dinner. Enjoyed sunrise over lake most mornings from the sunroom. Saw eagles, osprey and other water fowl. Nice quiet neighborhood- very relaxing.

This Lake House is a dream. Plenty of room everywhere patio’s, fire pits, and the view is just breathtaking. The kitchen comes fully stocked and a fantastic coffee bar. Hope to be back next year.

House was beautiful and clean, very well stocked, right on the water. Great views. Outside could use some landscaping work but we had a wonderful time with family. Host responded quickly and made us feel right at home! We will be back !

Home was very clean, comfortable in a relaxing atmosphere. It was exactly as described with all the amenities. Not many rentals have available the paper products, condiments and spices that Lisa has for your use. I particularly loved the bear room that overlooks the lake. Would definitely stay here again. My dog loved the basket of toys too!

This property is easily one of the best decked out places that my family and I have ever stayed. Lisa takes great care to keep the place well stocked. It's obvious that her and her family love the place very much - all is well maintained and expense isn't spared on upgrades, furniture, etc. The pictures don't do the place justice, which is normally the opposite of the case. Great location right on the lake with a relaxing view of the sunrise from the comfort of home or out on the dock. Great getaway for the week! We will be back!

Becoming a tradition to stay here every year. House is spacious, impeccably decorated, and comfortable. Great level yard for activities. Neighbors are year round and quiet. Great place to relax with privacy and plenty to do.

Lisa was fantastic from beginning to end and everything in between. The beds were comfy and showers were first rate. The view from the upper deck with the lovely long table ( as well from the sunroom) and the furniture on the covered lower patio made those areas very enjoyable. We didn’t get to use the cool fire pit “cauldron” nor the gas fireplace table nor the yard games because of bad weather. The house was very clean and well stocked. We were there in October so the lake and neighborhood were very quiet. The 5 adults in our family enjoyed being together and just hanging out. There are a few restaurants and a state park nearby and a few shops in Bemus Point not too far away either and a Wegmans (great grocery store!) about 15 minutes away.

Truly enjoyed the house/location; Lots of extras--games, kitchen tools, baby gates, tie-out for dogs,etc. We loved the private lake shore (the view was amazing) from the upper/lower decks. Owner was extremely responsive and helpful.

The house was great for a large family. The place was clean. It has nice updated appliances. The beds were very comfortable. As other people said, it was well stocked - everything you needed in the kitchen, games and toys in the house and so many toys outside. The view from the patio was wonderful and relaxing. It's a great place with so many extras!

This property had everything you could need and more. Lots of water toys, waterboards, and a couple of kayaks. The kitchen was very well stocked. House was lovely! Outside and in. Air conditioning had gone out with storms so it was a little hot but Lisa had large fans which made it tolerable. She was also very easy to get in touch with. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone who wants to relax at the lake. Fishing was not so good. Lots of weeds. Other than that it was 👍👍.And we were able to bring our dog which sealed the deal! Thanks Lisa!

The house is comfortable for 8-10 people, nice and well furnished. Upstairs sun room is also nice, and the ground floor patio is a good outdoor area. I give the house five stars but the upkeep on the grounds only 3 stars. Yard, overgrowth, moss on patio, condition of kayaks and paddle boat all need some attention.
