Agaró Cambrils Apartments

Loved the location. Loved the pool and umbrellas. Lovely large balcony. Beds and sofa all super clean and comfy. The space was wonderful. Lady from reception didn't speak any English but so warm, friendly and helpful, booked us a taxi for the way back to airport, much cheaper than the way to apartment! I really loved this space and the view from the balcony. We would come back, despite what I'm about to say next.

We had two apartments, one had a dodgy front door lock and no kettle, but both issues were addressed instantly when asked. Ours had a loud buzzing from the aircon, this needs sorting out. Which is the only reason I didn't give them an 8. Lastly no toilets down by pool which is a massive pain when you are relaxing, four floors down, they used to have a restaurant which has closed and I imagine the loos used to be in there. That's why I can't score them a 10.

Simple, clean, excellent facilities - pool etc. very well managed.

The apartments have been renovated and the are clean. The location is nice as you have access to a swimming pool and green area that you shared with the other tenants. It's also walking distance to the beach and to the Cambrils restaurants area.

Although the apartment has been renovated, it feels still a bit old fashion. It was not super clear on our arrival as they were some plates and cutlery here and there.

- A/C was controlled on a wall, blowing to each room - Not far to the beach on foot - Simple checkout - just leave the keys on the table and shut the door

When we arrived, we faced a fenced housing complex with security doors. Circled around it two times - by car and on foot. No signs, no contacts. Calling the phone number from reservation, got an answer after second attempt - not speaking english, just disconnected. Then got a message in Spanish on WhatsApp, that they don't speak English. Gathered all my Spanish and asked where to go. After some time a woman came out with a tabled and used Google Translate on it. She gave us the keys and that was it. Apartment was dirty, we bought cleaning utensils and have spent 2 hours cleaning it. Then it was OK. Pictures are not reflecting the real situation, everything is much more used and worn down. Laminate in the bathroom alone is horrific. Kitchen had just one single tea spoon. Dish washer trays are rusty. The backing stove has no digits anymore, so you can't select the temperature to bake. There where enough towels but no hooks for small towels in the bath room. Parking inside the fence was possible but limited - one car blocking the other. So when you came first, someone could block you and you had to look for him. People where supposed to leave a phone and apartment number under the wind shield. Not all did, or some folks parked not deep enough, so the can drive out any time. Better not to park inside - too narrow, you risk to scratch your bumper on the board stone, and unlikely you get a free spot. There is a crack under the apartment door around 2 cm. You can hear every noise outside, especially in the night. Especially if the neighbours say goodbye to their visitors.
