We really enjoyed our stay in Cummington. The house was very clean, the kitchen well stocked with utencils and cookware. The creek behind the house was great for meditation and quiet time and the flowers beautiful.We only used the Master bedroom upstairs and found it comfortable.It was a perfect place to set up base camp while we traveled around New England.

Scenic setting, remote area. Hose was clean and kitchen was adequately stocked. The no shoes rule took a little getting used to, but was fine. Beds are comfortable and the heat /AC worked well.

We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house because we were in the area for a musical festival and away all day until late at night. The setting is beautiful with the wall of glass and deck overlooking the water out back. The house itself is a bit sterile and not very cozy — no real decor, bare wood floors, and the beds all had plastic-like mattress covers. I understand that this is probably a measure to prevent dust mites and bedbugs. It was fine for our visit, but I don’t think I’d find the living area very comfortable for an extended stay where I’d want to lounge about. (There’s basically only seating for four on one sofa and one armchair besides the wooden dining chairs.)
