About this house rental
Unwind in a second-story cottage overlooking the pool on a five-acre Auburn property. Enjoy a private entrance, sunny balcony, separate queen bedroom, queen sleeper sofa, and kitchenette. Sleeps up to four guests. The pool, spa, backyard, and outdoor recreation areas are accessible to guests of CarriageLoft and CottagePoolHouse and occupants of the Main House. Stairs are required to reach the cottage.
SLEEPING & LIVING
A separate bedroom has a queen bed, and the living room has a queen sleeper sofa. Enjoy comfortable seating, a gas fireplace, TV, ceiling fans, and central heating and air conditioning.
KITCHENETTE & BATH
The kitchenette includes a microwave, two-burner induction hot plate, dishwasher, and small refrigerator/freezer. The adjoining bedroom bathroom has a double-headed shower and a washer and dryer.
PRIVATE SPACE & AMENITY ACCESS
You have private use of the cottage, its entrance, and balcony. The backyard, pool, spa, shaded pavilion, barbecue and dining facilities, poolside bathroom and shower, game room, volleyball, ping-pong, and fire pit are accessible to guests of CarriageLoft and CottagePoolHouse and occupants of the Main House. The hosts may use the backyard, but rarely do.
POOL & SPA
The pool is not heated. The spa takes about one hour to warm up and may be used once per day; please coordinate with us.
PETS & HOUSE RULES
This is a quiet retreat; parties and events are not permitted. One pet is allowed with prior approval and may incur an additional charge. Additional small dogs may be considered with prior approval. Smoking is not allowed in or around the cottage. Visitors require written permission. Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; checkout is by 11:00 a.m.
EV CHARGING & SEASONAL EXTRAS
A Tesla charger and electrical outlets are available. Please ask about compatibility and charging arrangements before arrival. When available, we enjoy sharing fresh eggs and produce from the garden; availability varies.

The pool house was the perfect end to our vacation. We loved waking up to the beautiful views and lounging by the pool. We were able to cook for our family in the well stocked kitchen and it was a convenient location to our family visits in Colfax and Granite Bay.

Possibly better than the photos suggest... resort-like vibe, second story with views all around, comfortable living quarters, functional deck overlooking pool, well-designed furniture/fireplace/TV below deck, quiet neighborhood, rolling hills to the west, family-friendly pool/grounds, ping pong volleyball/badminton court, good dining options and downtown Auburn nearby, hiking/scenic trails galore, with a competitive golf course within minutes, topped with thoughtful hosts... what more could one ask for ;)

From the moment you arrive, you’re wrapped in comfort; it’s impeccably clean, cozy and filled with a warmth that feels like a gentle hug.The balcony overlooking the pool is pure magic - easily the best seat in the house - perfect for quiet mornings or peaceful evenings.
