The location in Masindi made this place very easy to find and it's hard to get much more central (not too far from the Link bus station). There is a great restaurant near the property (Feelings Cafe) that serves excellent food at a great price. The mosquito nets were good and our balcony offered a nice view of the sunrise.

The person we talked to at check in seemed a bit confused by our booking, but we got through it. After we asked about the advertised WiFi, he eventually explained that "the owner hadn't paid the bill this month, so it was turned off," which was a little disappointing. The shower was the most frustrating part of the experience, though. There was a handheld shower head in a raised bathtub, but no place to hang it on the wall (and no shower curtain) and no heating element. This meant that one had to crouch down awkwardly in the bathtub to avoid flooding the bathroom with freezing cold water. Ultimately, though, it was all manageable!
