About this cottage rental
Situated in the north of Portugal, in the green region of Miño, a gateway to the Peneda-Gerés National Park (15 min away). Casa de Abbades is accessible by motorway from the Spanish border (20 min away). Dedicated to tourism since 1979, Casa de Abbades offers its guests:
- 2 apartments with two double rooms in each (4 people) and 2 bathrooms
- One apartment with two double rooms (4 people)
and one bathroom
The stay includes once per week housekeeping, firewood for the fireplaces, access to the gardens and swimming pool. Meals are served in the apartments or in the garden by prior booking.
There is also an ancient distillery which has been renovated and transformed into a comfortable apartment, with a delightful added touch: a private garden, with the surrounding wall and a large granite table where you can have your meals or spend a lovely summer evening chatting to friends under a warm star lit sky. Inside, you will find two double rooms, a bathroom, kitchen and sittingroom, with electric heating in all the rooms.
The inside of each of these accommodations has been adapted to modern day requirements, preserving the antique furniture: ironwork beds, dressing tables, old porcelain washbas. We can serve dinners , by prior booking. All the firewood for the fireplaces is free of charge, courtesy of Casa de Abbades, as well as for the barbecue.

Muy buena experiencia en este alojamiento , pasamos cinco días en familia , la casa se sitúa en un paramo espectacular rodeado de naturaleza , el trato de Magdalena excelente . En general la estancia esta muy bien , pero en especial las camas . Recomendado 100%.

Fuimos un grupo de 14 amigos y amigas que pasamos cuatro días muy felices en La Casa de Abbades con la muy cordial acogida de Madalena, nuestra anfitriona, secundada por sus colaboradoras Alexandrina y Rosa. Valió la pena este viaje.
Es muy aconsejable esta casa que ya sentimos un poco nuestra.

Vaste domaine fleuri et arboré d'arbres fruitiers.Un joli lavoir authentique en pierre avec eau de source et utilisé. Piscine géante avec vue environnante imprenable.
L'appartement du 1er étage : dans le salon trone une cheminée en pierre. Suffisamment de fauteuils et divans.
La présence au sol de tapis, de parquet et de pierre ajoute une touche nature.
Une tres belle terrasse ombragée pour le déjeuner et le diner.
Accueil chaleureux de Madalena et repas de tradition portugaise servi à la demande en compagnie de l'hôtesse et l'hôte. Une visite s'impose dans la maison du propriétaire à son bon vouloir et à la chapelle attenante.(souvenirs : toute une époque)!!
Aux environs Porto, Braga, le marché couvert de LIma et des musées à prix modiques. Bonne introduction en pays portugais !!

Hemos pasado una semana en esta casa y nos ha encantado, el trato maravilloso, la limpieza es excelente y las instalaciones y el jardín están muy bien cuidadas. La piscina está fenomenal y el desayuno es estupendo, no falta de nada, lo más rico la mermelada de madalena :).
Recomiendo 100x100 este alojamiento. Muchas gracias por la acogida a madalena y su familia. Además nuestra perrita se lo pasó genial.
