About this house rental
Welcome to Casa-Pacífico in beautiful Nayarit, Mexico. This unit (Casa de Sonrisas) is one of two on the property.
This property is truly a walk-to-the-beach home. Stand in the street in front of the house, turn to your right, and the Pacific Ocean beckons you -- 100 steps away. In addition, there are several cafes in the neighborhood as well as small markets. 6 blocks will take you to the center of La Penita where you will find shops, markets, banks, restaurants and bars - just about anything you need.
The home itself is a one bedroom with a queen bed, one bathroom unit with a great private terrace. A/C in the bedroom. Sit outside in the morning for coffee, or in the evening to watch the sunset while listening to the waves and catching the ocean breezes. Lots of windows for light and air. Private entrance to your second floor home! A full kitchen allows you to eat in whenever you like but you are still close enough to town to head in to one of the outstanding cafes and restaurants. A short walk down the beach will take you there in minutes. Or purchase tamales and tortillas from the street vendors and shops in the neighborhood.
A large bathroom, built-in wardrobe, and a really roomy living space make this the perfect home base while you explore all that Riviera Nayarit has to offer: colonial buildings in nearby towns, surfing in Sayulita, jet-skiing, mountain drives, markets, ruins, hot springs, volcanos, and miles and miles of beach. You can easily explore the other towns in the area - San Pancho, Rincon de Guaybitos, Los Ayala, and Lo de Marcos. You will be about an hour from Playa las Tortugas and the turtle camp there. San Blas is another hour beyond.
All linens and towels are supplied (including beach towels). I have tried to equip the home with everything you will need - basic spices, cooking oil, bottled water, etc.) but if there is anything else you require, just ask. The property has two rental units as well as the owner's home. They all share a courtyard and garden as well as a pool. Beach chairs also available for guests.
I am located in Colonia Pescadores in La Penita. This is an authentic Mexican village, not a flashy resort town. It is a quiet, laid-back neighborhood with a true flavor of Mexico. The street is a mix of homes, small local businesses, a few hotels/rentals, a school across the street, and lovely neighbors!

Awesome location, my wife is pretty pregnant so being a short walk to the beach and multiple restaurants was a huge bonus for us. The rooms were clean, the pool was super refreshing on days we didn't feel like walking. Plus Lissa makes the best bagels, we will definitely be back again!

Casa Pacifico in La Penita is a perfect place to stay if you want to experience the real Mexico. We liked that it was just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the pool every afternoon and most days we were quite alone to enjoy it. Lissa was very helpful and easy to talk to. She gave us lots of great information on La Penita.

Our stay was an amazing one.
The room was absolutely beautiful.
We had air conditioning, smart t.v., full kitchen set up, beach supplies as well as acces to a pool and pool and a laundry room.
The beach was a few feet from the property so their was always a breeze in our balcony. Lisa, the owner of the property was a absolutely wonderful and helpful. She was there whenever we needed help with anything. We travel to La Peñita and guayabitos every year and we usually stay at hotels, but this year our stay with Lisa was by far the best one yet, and we will definitely be coming back again soon.

The property is on a rural dirt road & at first glance it is a bit unattractive.
The beach is at the end of the street but with that comes locals "hanging" at the end of rd where you enter.
My fault as I didn't see the unit had no AC & it was extremely uncomfortable. Sleeping was difficult even with fans provided. Could not enjoy at night & needed to leave the unit
There are rules for cleaning posted. Used coffee filter in the pot, not clean around the bathroom sink, a piece of food on the towel holder in the kitchen and dirt on the kitchen counter.
These are small things but the heat was not so if you are adverse, this may not be the place for you.
